I just drove this exact vehicle from Las Vegas to Los Angeles and I arrived feeling just as refreshed as if I flew first class to Europe. The air cooled seats were absolutely fantastic. I can't believe how fast this heavy sled is, and I didn't even know about the sports mode. The 10-speed transmission is incredibly smooth. Two complaints: the fancy leather stitching on the center console is uncomfortable against a bare arm and secondly, the glass on the side mirrors shake around when hitting bumps.
i have a 1998 Ford Explorer, 2 owners from new, still runs very good at 168K miles..no rust, Florida car, .this Expedition IMO best vehicle on the road,
I love the styling for the Expedition but the interior leaves me bored to death blah. I have ridden in the new Tahoe with air suspension and it is paradigm changing. So smooth and supple and the experience is so quiet and comfortable the only car I can compare it to is a Mercedes S class. I hate that GM gives money to BLM. But then Ford likely does too so there is that. Ford's rear trailer backing feature could be the selling point for many but for better or worse. Ultimately it comes down to emotion. Which one makes your heart skip a beat and fill your dreams when you are imagining your next road trip or camping trip. If I had a trailer I would buy the Ford. But the way I see it the GMC Denali does it for me.
Interior refresh for 2022 means better used prices for 18-21. Then I’ll buy a 20. I really don’t care for fancy screen BS. Engine, aluminum body panels and big space!
I do give Ford props for giving Ecoboost> GM 5.3. But the GM 6.2 is a beast. Plus the way better interior environment on the GMs for the same money is far superior. And that's why they will likely own the market indefinitely.
I own a Durango RT w/ 173k on it. Really like it but the kids are getting bigger and making more friends. These intrigue me. Living in salt here in Michigan this would be the only large $60k Suv I’d look at. Aluminum body won’t rust…. They just look huge compared to my Durango.
is the back cargo area wide enough, at least 49" to slide a sheet of plywood most of the way in? Can't seem to find that information available online or not as clear as my question. Thanks.
he told us where the pedals are though, so that was helpful. I've been wondering about the American version of the 2021 ford expedition if they'd finally decided to put them on the right side or not. I'm so disappointed.
My father just got the 2021 high country tahoe. Same as the one in suburban. Just shorter. And let me tell you. Not a damn thing comes close to compare. This truck is so spot on brilliant amazing perfect in every regard. Blows every other suv out the water. And let me say we went around to a few different types and names. He wasn't picky. Felt like I should do a video. Lol
@@chasethecarguy yeah might get another raptor. it was much cooler, needed the extra seats for kids but definitely didnt want to miss up the insane mark ups on the raptor

Ngl cars these days are reducing in towing capacity. Our old 2010 Infiniti QX56 got a 9,000 lb towing capacity and the excursion got 12,000 towing capacity. I honestly don’t get why full sized suvs are comparing towing capacity with midsized suvs. The highest standard towing capacity you can get is the Nissan Armada or Inifniti QX80 at 8500
How do I know how the F150 rides. I was expecting to hear from you. All you said is if you know how the 150 rides than you know what i am talking about 🤷🏻♂️.
I do like the expeditions but thats fords only big SUV. GM always made the biggest SUVs. In their time they owned like 10 divisions. You had the Chevy and GMC trucks, S10/Sonoma, Jimmy/Blazer/Bravada, Suburban/Escalade/Tahoe/Yukon, Avalanche/Escalade version of that. Ford just has 2. Expedition and Explorer with the Expedition being the full size. Now if you wanna try to knock sales out of GMs pocket bring back the Excursion with the 6.7 or 7.3 gas
jimmyf1312 @ Uh, no! My son has a new Yukon Denali and the technology is very dated. The GMC truck is the same way. If anyone needs a tech update it is in the GM trucks and SUV's. Love the comments from people that more than likely have never driven the vehicle or own one.
I wanted to trade my 2005 Sequoia for the new 2021 Expedition, but changed my mind after I saw its ridiculous pricing for a base MAX XLT. Overpriced is a compliment to this SUV. Ended up getting a Kia Telluride SX AWD fully loaded for less than $50K. And only sacrificed a few extra inches of space. Over $60K for a bare naked Expedition? No wonder I barely see Expeditions on the road in Vegas.
SALUDOS, es muy hermosa, pero ya es hora que la produzcan con motor electrico, los chinos ya iniciaron la produccion y les pueden ganar el mercado con el Hongqi
The suburban feels lighter like a car while the expedition feels like a truck. The driving dynamics better for the suburban but overall package the expedition is much better the seats are more comfortable and everything else feels more expensive then the suburban.
That is hideous.. This got nothing on the Yukon Denali. Ford has more plastic inside their vehicles than Toys-R-Us does. Exterior is not impressive either.
The new age soccer mom SUV. A gross V6 with turbos, one of the most unreliable on the road next to Kia. Just put a V8 in it, the gas mileage with a 10spd is comparable and you will have more towing capacity. Any towing with this engine will strain it to the max.
Mike West @ Every vehicle nowadays is a "sea of plastic". Maybe you need a 66 Impala with a metal dash and no airbags and see how it holds up in a crash.

I have Ford Explorer 2008 V8. Never failed me. It has 150k miles and still runs great ✌🏻
I had an o9 limited explorer with the v8...god i loved that truck
I love this beast but i wish Ford will adopt the interior dash of the F150 on the Expedition.
All the same it looks awesome.

Same size as the Yukon? If so I think I would go with this simply because of the v6 I do t need to tow anything just need more space for the kids.
Wow them mountains ❤️

Is there rear speakers in SUVs
Why the dashboard is still from 2020?
This is one big boi
Are those perforated seats ventilated? Does 2nd row fold flat? I have so many questions 🧐
Yes and yes.
How long does the headlights stay on after you turn the car off and locked it...? Cos mines been on for like almost 15 minutes
Why is this expedition only able to tow 6,000lbs when they usually tow about 9,000lbs?
Why can't ford get rid of low hanging black front along the light, its not serving purpose doesn't show any for approach angle
We have been to utah once. Sky so clear. The background looks like a postcard:).
is the back cargo area wide enough, at least 49" to slide a sheet of plywood most of the way in? Can't seem to find that information available online or not as clear as my question. Thanks.

@@CaseyGpdx ok? Not sure what you are getting at. Standard towing should always equal max towing? 🤷♂️
It’s because they are geared higher for fuel economy. Older SUV’s were still basically truck engineering and had truck gear ratios with big V8s.
