With much of the work on today's assembly lines performed by robots this film is sort of a harbinger of things to come. Still the human element is not completely eliminated and is yet an essential part of auto production.
Great video. I believe the film was made in late 1933 because he car is a new 1934 model. 1933 Fords have a slightly swooped grill and side hood lovers and on the 1934 both are straight.
I can't begin to think how hard this essentially live action stop motion/ animated film was to make back in 1933.
I love the bit where the Fairy throws a chunk of metal at the window and it breaks....just like the Cybertruck.
And for around $750 you could've bought this beautiful machine
Excellent !
Wish I could go back to 1933 and drive one off the assembly line.Make mine a V8 convertible coupe. Beautiful cars they were!
That's a long way to go
My grandmother wasn't even born back then

Shows a 1933 grill but a 1934 two-latch hood assembly.
Side Hood Lovers!
I wonder they were an option?

They were one short on the days production. That was all the parts they had to make five thousand.
Is the music composed by Ferde Grofé?
Edwing E. Ludig
