Absolutely YES!!!!! I have a Standardbred pacer - (he now has "regular gaits" - walk, trot, canter.) But when he needs chiropractic treatment, he reverts to pacing - that's how I know he needs to see the chiropractor....(Trivia - the DNA of pacers has been sequenced ...they actually have a single gene which differentiates pacers and non-pacers...) After an adjustment, he's back in business....no pacing...
I agree with you, Matt. I have seen chiropractors work on horses very quickly and then leave with a big check, so I am also skeptical. But, I am sure there are some good equine chiropractors out there. One thing I’ve noticed is that often owners will claim how much better their horse is but within a few days I notice the old movement problems return in their horse. After watching this maybe I’ll give it a try
Hi again MATT Soo happy for you you have been introduced to a Good chiropractor! I must tell you how valuable these types of adjustments are for a hurting horse. I used this along with a couple things at the time weren't popular or fashionable per say. Now I've used these treatments for years on the performance horses and it was obvious how much happier they were and more willing in training and showing and all that involves. Also so much less expensive then a vet especially if it fixes one of their diagnosis. I'm not a fan of injections and many times have been very limited or not used because of the chiropractic care. Your horses will look forward to their treatments and relax close their eyes and almost fall asleep lol! You will find you're winning more with more focused horses when they don't hurt! I'd suggest you get set up on a schedule and have all of them initially done and find the degree of problems and schedule accordingly. I could tell by his explanations and his treatment on Armani that he's a keeper! Hope this helps your decision to go with it or not. Lol lol how did I know there would be a BBQ lunch after?!lol! FYI teriyaki is delicious on that chicken too! Catcha next time...
What tools, equipment and or treatments have you found to be the most beneficial when it comes to rehab and/or injury prevention? There is so much on the market that it gets pretty overwhelming and I’m not sure what to invest in. Thank you! Love your videos!
Dustin Cooksey is not a licensed chiropractor or veterinarian and therefore practicing animal chiropractic illegally. He has not taken any courses in animal chiropractic as ALL animal chiropractic certification programs require candidates to be a DVM or DC first. Please look for an AVCA or IVCA certified animal chiropractor.
