An early version of the Wing Gundam was supposed to be the lead for G Gundam, before being scrapped. Later, they polished it and added the transformation gimmick when they made the Wing TV series. It wouldn't be that surprising if the other gundams from Wing had a similar origin.

Nice. I have the old no-grade version which is cool, but this one looks much better and more color accurate. Might try to find this one. It's my second favorite suit of all time behind Deathscythe Hell (TV)

also im noticing those wings look A LOT like sized down ones from the MG expansion kit for the MG Altron. the wings seem to bend and click like the MG expansion set and have the same look on the edge as well where the thrust is supposed to come out.
I been waiting for this kit for 20 plus years, but thanks to scalpers and PBandai looks like I gonna wait for another more years, I hope JMS make this kit fans deserve more.
I feel like they should have actually released the soldiers or grunt units as p band eyes more then the upgraded versions. Like the Taurus that had the mobile dolls which were black and the mobile suits that were white versions. Which suits from After-Colony do you want them to make as a kit that they never done before?

i built the original Altron years ago and tbh this is way better looking then the original in terms of detail. its probably a lot more stable and solid then the original. wish i could find my old kit again though
Mecha! I wish you could try and cover a Transformers model kit specifically the huge Optimus Prime or Shockwave model kits from Yolopark. It's very impressive with amazing engineering IMO for the price compared to other PGs or even premium MGs.
I wish that Bandai had released this as a standard release on the foreign market like the Gundam Breaker Battlogue kits were. Then they could make it a P-Bandai for their market like they did with Gundam Breaker Battlogue. I think a lot more people would be happy with that idea but I’ve even seen that a lot of the Japanese builders don’t like that they are P-Bandai exclusives as well. Even the Japanese builders want these to be a standard release instead of an exclusive release.
Order two Altron kits, the last of the Wing 1/144 scale kits. (I have all the Earth and space kits, including the RG Tallgeese II.) Now I can retire from Gunpla unless Bandai decides to make MG TV versions of Wing. Then I'll come out of retirement, lol.
I remember building the HG 1/100 back during the 2000s, it was not as nice as this one and all the color separation in the shoulders was using stickers

Wing ZERO was regular mass retail. So many other Gundam Wing kits are Premium Bandai...including Altron (and I bet Deathscythe-Hell), which is rather stupidiotic. So I guess once I get my mitts on Sandrock, that's it for those guys unless I find regular Wing as well.
Its weird that a lot of people were introduced to Gundam by TV Version (TOONAMI) Wing Gundam, that Bandai doesn't give us MGS of the TV version Gundams. I have the whoke teams MG EW versions but they seem alien to me.

Unfortunately shenlong just has too many advantages over this. The extend arms means that you can't raise the arm out to the side. Having two of these means you lose a lot of arm poseability with the arm that holds the weapon. The wings get in the way. The shield is static. While I do like the cool factor being ramped up, I chose not to get the kit. The EW altron is just a better design for this.
it's all good until I knew every wing kits from season 2 aside from the wing zero are all Pbandai that I scrap the idea of completing. same with the G gundam line.. it's just too expensive for me now.
I HATE that Bandai basically made it horrible to try to replicate the TV version in MG. Everything is Premium Bandai including the HG. I have the OG HG 1/100 Altron and the polycaps are just flop city... I'm thinking this version will have the exact same issues.

MG Altron Gundam has parts to make it into the Ver Ka(EW) of it with the cannon and wings.
