- Experience Hendrix and Sony banned my 5 year old previous video so I decided to redo it. It's a hybrid of the studio version of rhythm and solo guitar and some random noodlings. So it's not a MOST ACCURATE ON UA-cam but it'll have to do.
I used a backingtrack made by me with Addictive Drums 2.0 and a cheapo midi drumkit. Bass played through Amplitube 3 with a standard bass amp setting. The whole thing was mixed using Waves - Kramer plugins in Reaper.
The guitar was recorded with 2 microphones: one condenser and the standard SM57. I used only a Sonus 1966 replica red fuzz face with NKT275. The cab was not really loud therefore the sound is not optimum.
My guitar has been updated with a new 3 tone nitro body and CS 69 pickups. So my frankensteined Squier JV has been fully restored to it's original state.
Because the backingtrack was done by me it contains some errors in timing which affected the timing of my guitar playing overall but it's okay enough for me. Hope you enjoy it!

I saw Jimi Hendrix in 1968 and have listening to his music for over a half century. This is absolutely the best cover of "Bold As Love" I've ever heard. Hats off to you.

This piece brings forth a potential so deeply hidden in a Strat it's a miracle - this is the equivalent of "classical" guitar on an electric, by which I mean a multi-part mix of lead and rhythm or "orchestral" form of guitar - a one man band so to speak - this style of playing was Jimi's greatest accomplishment. Jimi's best songs of this style remain unparalleled. This and Little Wing may be the apex of that aspect of Jimi. The intricate beauty of the playing on Bold as Love is a bit more hidden than Little Wing because he sings over some of the best parts - hence the importance of TheVibratory making a note for note, tone-perfect version of the song without the singing. It really is "as good as Hendrix", not sure I would hear any difference TBH, Jimi lives on in the playing of so many players since Jimi passed but this really IS Jimi and that is a kind of miracle - that this guy has such talent and devotion to be able to recreate something that was lost to us forever.

Great job man. I was a teenager when Jimi passed away and as the years past I thought he would fade from peoples memories. How wrong I was - if anything he is more loved now than ever and as long as we have people like you to keep spreading the music then he will live on for ever.
The problem with Jimi Hendrix he’s actually one of most important artist of 21st century. I remember as kid in 70s waited all week to watch 2 hr documentary history of rock n roll after an hour of bands I had NO interest in as kid, when it showed Jimi the sound was low and barely mentioned him short live clip and nothing. Whoever made documentary only mentioned Jimi because of his impact significantly on rock roll history, long time ago I was barely 11 years old. I knew whoever made edited that documentary SUCKED
