As someone fairly into Tetris or at least was many moons ago; this was a refreshing experience to witness considering your limited / casual history with the series. I enjoyed this a lot and from the sounds of things, you had fun making it too. Got my sub. Look forward to future content :)

Look, I hear what you're saying about the depth and complexity that is competitive Tetris VS.... but I could negate and disassemble all that hard work and well thought out planning for that script by telling you and everyone else to JUST LEARN 4-WIDE.

I got the demo to this a long time ago during the switchs launch and it pretty much made me a fan of puyo and I bought it and played for hours on end. It's a really fun game that I would love to see Sega make a sequel if they're interested.
PPT Switch mode Puzzle League is fairly balanced. Not sure about private rooms. If people want to learn more about Tetris I suggest checking out the Harddrop Wiki.
So as a "clean, holy, superior" puyo main.... I actually really struggle with Tetris, for some reason I accidentally hard-drop tetriminos using the Joy-Con left thumbstick way too often Plus I don't have a good grasp on tetris set ups yet (Perfect clears, centre 4-wide, TSD and TST) I do think you should be rewarded for more than just T-Spin set ups, such as S, Z, J and L spin triples or if you're playing with pentriminos in party mode; W, F spin triples and long-S/long-I spin tetris
Nano Tenko It might be a toughie with Joy-Con, but try to get used to using the DPad! I find using it in the grip helps. Don’t worry too much about the flashier setups either, just ease yourself into making a perfect setup with no gaps as well as having more control when placing tetrominos and use that as the stepping stone to get to better setups :D Also TEACH ME YOUR WISDOM, O PUYO MAIN. I can only make 4 chains with stair stacks (ㆀ˘･з･˘)
StrangeGuru That's fair I'm trying to use the d-pad and actually when I was playing Tetris on 3DS it was a lot easier As for puyo, spend a good few hours resetting just making and learning the GTR, and learning how steps from it and you should start getting towards 6 and 7 chains My best in ranked is only a 10 chain and I'm a 6.6k puyo player Sticking with stairs is really tough as the conversion to the 2nd row is a pain and too risky generally
Ironically, there have been TONS of Tetris games that use extremely similar versus mechanics. They are just overwhelmingly limited to Japanese audiences. I really want PPT and PPT2 to cause more of those games to gain traction in the west.
I'm hoping to get this game for xmas this year! I've borrowed it from the library so many times it's insane! "Puyo is the best game mode! It's not confusing!" I say as I choose tetris for 8th time in a row. Seriously tho the only reason I'm the best puyo player out of everyone I know is because I have project mirai (project diva but on the ds) which has a mini game (puyo 39) where you go against the divas (also meiko is the hardest diva to beat her strategy is basically just spamming and making insane combos I swear)
This shows hope for Tetris and that Sega are much more capable of making a Tetris game than Ubisoft and EA! And I will never forgive Ubisoft for taking down the better versions of Tetris that were available on 3DS, just to push their awful soulless version that makes me want to hold onto my other Tetris games for dear life!

You should play more Puyo game as a Puyo fan you should play more puyo games all of them are great the only ones you should NEVER play are Puyo Puyo 1 (you most likely played mean bean or avalanche before so it is the same as puyo 1) and Puyo Puyo Chronicle (which in my worst game of all time yes even worse then the games normally said as the worst games) but other then that most of the games are great!
Soooooooo, are you still playing it? I just got the game (Finally got a Switch a few months ago), and I’m enjoying it! I wanted it when I first heard it was on Switch, but then really wanted it when I found out about Schezo.
I was tempted if they localized the 3DS version that would be cheap and portable and I love Tetris, but the Puyo Puyo half does nothing for me, I never played more than 2 rounds of it in any game I've owned and it was the worst part of Sonic Mania.
Igorowan Tbh, Puyo isn't my cup of tea either and I only really play it for the sake of variety, but believe me when I say that the two modes mesh well enough that even if you don't like a mode, it doesn't feel like you've lost half of the game, it works just as well as a standalone Tetris game.

PokeTarren KINDA??? I somehow pulled one off in my replay at 15:56 (I'm the Ecolo on the right), I decided to try it because the Witch was spamming attacks and I heard centre wells are safer to do as you're less likely to top out when a tetromino spawns.
The way Big Bang implements Tetris is weak. I'd rather if they did it like either All Clear (where the setups guarantee actual all-clears) or Combos (you get set 2/3/4-wide garbage and you clear it while trying to score as many combos as you can) from Tetris Effect. The former would make sense, while the latter can introduce expandable randomness.
Turtle Kombat Oh totally! The PC version's a fine choice if it's your only option, it just has a few kinks in it like audio troubles. There's also that software I mentioned, Denuvo, it's DRM software that I'd recommend doing your own research on, but it hasn't caused any trouble for me on my hardware. There's nothing so troubling about the PC version that warrants boycotting it, so feel free to give it a go, then refund it on Steam if you end up having problems ( ＾∀＾)

Turtle Kombat PPT has its own player count under Online > Puzzle League > Rankings, there are also dozens of third party Steam stat sites to help you on that front.
