This is complete crazyness, musically. Unfortunately there is no video (it's from a movie soundtrack) but it is some of the very best pieces of art I've heard in a long time, the only thing I could compare it to in terms of orchestral magnitude and vocal splendor would be Shoshana Bean live at the theatre at Ace Hotel..., - these two ladies are crazy good together... As it would not bring many views I suggest you listen to it privately, but we must let Coby know about this, she must not miss such greatness... you will be blown away, the musical build, the voices combined, the drums, the brass, those crazy high notes in the final part... this is a real highlight of music, a thing you do not find every day...enjoy! It's a pity that those of your followers from Indonesia and Thailand who do watch also your other videos will miss this great piece of art if you "watch" = listen to this privately, but that's the way it is, I suppose they have enough great music in their own countries...:) - I will put a copy under Coby's comment so she can enjoy it too... @@Hundhammer omg thank you Dominik this is amazingly good. I must admit that about 4/5 years ago I heard several songs by Lila Downs, including Peligrosa (dangerous) but solo. This one together with Mon Laferte is even stronger than the solo version I love it, thanks again because I had honestly forgotten Lila because of all the new discoveries over the last 5 years 😅Have you also seen/read the translation of the lyrics? when I saw the title in your comment, that first sentence immediately came back to mind *They say I'm dangerous* .❤

I didn't know Lila Downs, or maybe heard one song a long time ago, the name sounds somehow familiar but I'm not familiar with her songs... but when listening to this found I thought she really has a very interesting voice as well and I might look for some more of her, can you recommend something? (Other than her solo version of this song, for me as a fan of Mon it can not be as good as a version with Mon, they are amazing together, their vocals overlapping more and more, it cannot be as intense is this one, I don't even need to compare, also the arrangement is perfect as it is here, can't get any better...) - but other songs where there is no version with Mon...? I wouldn't know by heart which ones to recommend to you because the titles are difficult to remember, especially if you haven't listened to them in years. All I remember is that I looked for a video of Santana with the song Una noche en Napoles and came across a version of Santana ft. Lila Downs, Soledad and Nina Paston. Lila's voice and passion attracted me so I started listening to more songs. And now I'm going to sleep because the letters start dancing 🥱😴😅, sleep well and see you later

Earlier this year she sang Gesu Bambino, give your ears a treat and load it up, it's stunning. There is a video from her 18th birthday concert called Nearer my God to thee, which is sweet She also soars in a Christmas show, singing La Virgine degli Angeli, from three years ago, when she was 16. Don't miss out on such beautiful sounds. ☺
