Well over 4,000 years ago, Jerusalem was the city of Melchizedek (a type of Christ [see Genesis 14]) and Abraham’s offering of Isaac; over 3,000 years ago, Jerusalem was the city of David, the city of Solomon, and God’s personally designed temple

God calls it “My city” (Hosea 5:15).
Two thousand years ago, Jerusalem was the place of Christ’s Crucifixion-now a place sacred to Jews, Christians, and Muslims. In A.D. 70, the temple (built by Herod) was destroyed. The first temple (Solomon’s) was destroyed in 586 B.C. The second temple was built by Zerubbabel and then greatly enlarged and embellished for over 40 years by Herod. In A.D. 685-691, the Dome of the Rock was built over the same area, and in A.D. 1520-1566, Suleman the Magnificent added the present walls. Today, this city of less than a square mile is the focus of most of the world's nations for one reason: God has chosen Jerusalem as the focal point for His plan for the end of the world!

I love the boldness in the statement, “they were 2600 years ago and they will be seven years from now”. That’s right, folks. Seven years are left to finish the transgression, to put an end to sin, to bring in everlasting righteousness and to anoint the Most Holy. HalleluYah!
No such biblical interpretation in scripture that says seven years, it doesn't exist, the Bible says great tribulation. John Barnett distorts scripture that has nothing to do with end time events, it is Jesuit theology countering the truth.

Amazing time to be alive seeing all prophecies happening and LIVING in it. This could take a few more yrs who knows. A thousand to us is a few days to the Lord but He's definitely waving all the signs. Focus on Israel as they take center stage. They're God's ticking clock.

Eze 38:2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him,
Meshech and Tubal were located in modern Turkey. Turkey leads the Gog invasion. Russia is part of the coalition as the far north but Gog is chief prince of Meshech and Tubal which was in the ancient Turkey/Armenia area. Watch for Turkey to resurrect the ancient Ottoman rule of the middle east. Turkey is Gog check ancient middle east maps.
Ezekiel 38-39 describes the Gog battle or battles depending on your perspective. It is very easy to determine the timing of the Gog/Magog war. If we look at the end of Eze 39 we see a set of conditions that can only be true at a particular time in history.
Eze 39:21 And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.
Eze 39:22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward.
Eze 39:23 And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.
Eze 39:24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.
Eze 39:25 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;
Eze 39:26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.
Eze 39:27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;
Eze 39:28 Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.
Eze 39:29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.
The conditions described at the end of Eze 39 can only occur at the end of the age. Israel knows God from that day forward, the gentiles will see the judgment God has dished out, God will pour His spirit out upon the house of Israel and no longer hide His face from Israel. God rescues Israel at the battle of Armageddon. So that makes the end of the Gog battle (Eze 39) line up with the timing of Armageddon. That makes Gog the AntiChrist which we see hinted at in Eze 38.
Eze 38:17 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Art thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days many years that I would bring thee against them?
God says the prophets of Israel wrote about Gog in their writings. This defines Gog as the AC since Armageddon is where God defeats the AC and company which is also the Gog war. When we search the OT for a battle in Israel that God defeats the enemies arrayed against Israel with Israel returning to the Lord for ever after. We find such descriptions in the Day of the Lord scriptures from the OT. The DOTL scriptures end with God defeating the armies invading Israel and Israel returning to the Lord for ever after just as we see in Eze 39.

The 1000 years is to prove a simple point, that even in a perfect environment man is depraved. Once the 1000 years is over and the Great White Throne Judgement happens then we have either an eternity with Jesus, or an eternity in the lake of fire.

Armageddon has nothing to do with a physical war, though there will be persecution of God's people always, but this particular war has to do with a different battle, a battle for the minds. It is about choosing this day whom one will serve. Either serve God and keep His commandments (all 10) or serve the other, by disobedience. "What? Know ye not that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey ye are servants to whom you obey? Whether sin unto death or obedience unto righteousness? This is the battle of Armageddon, and the word for "place" in the verse "in a PLACE called Armageddon " is topos, which has a meaning of state of mind. The Bible references these with the valley of megido, valley of jehosaphat, the same valley where Elijah said "choose ye this day whom you will serve". Another rebuke to the false teachings of John Barnett.

I’m confused. Jesus is going to come down to Israel? Is Jesus aware that Israel is populated only with people who hate him? There are no Christians there. Or, at most, very few. Trying to understand the Bible, and the vastly different interpretations, has been quite the challenge.

Read the bible again, only slower; Israel is a man; (Genesis 32: 28); Abraham is Jacobs (Israel) grandson; this 'state' of Israel, just celebrated its 76th anniversary; as the 1st jewish state.

Daniel 11 is about "the king of the north" and "the king of the south" (that refers to the two "kings" or political governments north and south of Israel), that is a political struggle starting about the end of the 4th century B.C.E. and ends at Armageddon (Rev 16:16), and NOT a religious one, as inferred with "the antichrists", that means "against (or instead of) Christ", a body of counterfeit Christians that poses as "the real deal", though fake, and is Christendom.
Who are "the king of the north" and "the king of the south" at Daniel 11 ? A little history is in order, for at Daniel 10:1, Daniel was given "the message......about a great conflict (Hebrew tsaba gadowl, meaning "a great mass of persons organized for war"), that would be played out at Daniel 11.
At Daniel 11:2, it says that "three more kings that will stand for Persia (or three "kings" following Darius the Mede, Dan 11:1, which were Cambyses II (Cyrus the Great's son, reigned 530-522 B.C.E.), Cambyses II brother Bardiya (who reigned for approximately 7 months, or possibly Guamata, a Magian or a Mede who professed to interpret dreams, practicing magic, the learned and priestly class), and Darius I Hystaspes (or Darius the Great), reigned 521 B.C.E-486 B.C.E.),"
"and the fourth one (King Ahasuerus, or Xerxes I, reigned 496 B.C.E.- 475 B.C.E., who appears to have been co-ruler with his father for some ten years, and Esther's husband, Esther 2:16, 17) will amass greater riches than all others", who will "rouse up everything against the kingdom of Greece", but suffered defeat at Salamis in 480 B.C.E., and again in 479 B.C.E at Plataea, so that all future Medo-Persian kings over the next 143 years never again carried war into Greece.
At Daniel 11:3, 4, it shows "a mighty king will stand up", Alexander the Great, at just 20 years old, "and rule with extensive dominion, and do as he pleases", in 336 B.C.E., after the assassination of his father King Philip II, but Alexander the Great dies in 323 B.C.E. and four of his generals divides up the Grecian Empire that Alexander the Great had carved out over his almost 13 year rule, whereby Seleucus I Nicator takes Syria, Lysimachus takes mostly modern day Turkey and Bulgaria, Cassander takes over Greece and Macadonia and Ptolemy I takes over Egypt.
By 285 B.C.E., there are only two rulers left, Seleucus I Nicator and Ptolemy I, that were "north" and "south" of literal Israel, so that these two "kings" became known as "the king of north" and "the king of the south", with each vying for political control of territory not their own, or more accurately, control of the world.
However, over a period of almost 2,000 years, no longer are "the king of the north" and "the king of south" literally north and south of Israel, but later empires that impacted symbolic "Israel", whereby fleshly Israel is NO longer God's people, and were replaced with a new "nation", as Jesus said at Matthew 21:42-44.
At Daniel 11:40-45, "the king of the north" is now Russia (formerly the Soviet Union) and "the king of the south" is the United States, with each vying for world domination. More details could be provided of these two "kings", through the Seleucid dynasty of kings, as "king of the north" and the Ptolemaic dynasty of kings, as "king of the south", as rival "kings", whereby both dynasties were taken over by the Roman Empire by 30 B.C.E., and it became 'the king of the north", as the 6th world power of Bible history.(Rev 17:9, 10)

I would like to float an idea that i would like you to consider when you read about the Ezekiel war. I think it is after the 1000 year millennial rule of Jesus. When you read the prophecy you will note that it says isreal is living in safley and at peace. With no walls or gates. Currently Israel is the most walled and gated country in the world. That will not change untill after Jesus returns. Just my 2cents. Peace

I am now reading armageddon as hill of assembly not meggedo. Hill of assembly would be jerusalem where the feasts are held. Jerusalem also makes sense because of all the UN resolutions against jerusalem. I think the meggedo reading was another way to take away from the jews at 1611 JKV time.
Isaiah 14:13 has the phrase "mountain of assembly". assembly is the same moed in the singular form whereas moedim is pural. Strongs h2022 is mountain or har. Strongs h4150 is assembly or moed. Strongs h6017 is the word Gomorrah. Note that the G is the same Hebrew Ayin letter used in moed i.e. moged. The Greek h sound was dropped from armageddon in Revelation 16:16. armageddon = Har mogged.
