I love Nora in this scene! I love how Sally Field portrays her with such sympathy and vulnerability, yet at the same time she is so strong and commanding.
This is from Season 2, Episode 7, called "36 Hours". The drug he is addicted to is oxycodone. He became addicted after coming back injured from Iraq and he was prescribed oxycodone as a pain med but ended up becoming addicted (he used to be an addict).
Justin was having a panic attack fresh air would have been a good thing. Someone could have went with him being stuck in a house when having a panic attack is worse you feel like the walls are closing in
I totally see your point about the panic attack... however, as soon as Nora said "STOP IT" with a Mom tone used to snap a 6 or 7 year old out of faking tears or a tantrum to get their way. It snapped him out of the manipulative attempt to make a break for it, and his breathing returned to normal very quickly. If he was really having a panic attack, he wouldn't have been embarrassed, and he would've continued struggling to control his anxiety and hyperventilating. Just an observation, either scenario still kind of works in this scene. It was brilliantly acted by Dave and Sally. Which is why someone took this clip and posted it. It's a powerful scene that sticks with you. I love this show!! Especially the early seasons! 💙
@@Will_3000 I agree, I don't think it was a panic attack...more some of the anxiety that must come from withdrawals, but he was using it to be manipulative. Otherwise he would've just asked someone to open a window - not go directly to Nora (who had prob enabled him and given into him at times), who he thought would let him out.
I'm only on Season at the moment, and just watched the episode of his rehab (it was so funny when the whole family were there lol) but I badly want to know what happened to make him like this :(
Why in the name of Sweet Jesus was this drama taken off air. Even here in the UK we LOVED it.

This episode has some really fucking amazing acting. Dave Annabelle kills pretty much this entire episode
Man when she said "Stop it!" I busted out laughing. Such a mom. Go Nora!!
The music absolutely gave this a stronger impact! Loved it, all of it!! Very true to real life and the struggle they were all facing.
This people deserve more awards based on their talents.
Not enough credit for Dave annable in this scene, incredible

Now that's what you call a Mom. One phase ends the tantrum...stop it!

Yeah I never got why they didn't just walk outside with him
EXACTLY WHAT U WAS THINKING
He would have legged it if she had let him outside. Thats why she told Kitty to call the doctor.
