I just woke up and i know in an hour ill be under my rucksack for my morning PT.. its not pleasant but it has to be done.. On a side note my wife and i like watching movies from the 70s and so on- She commented the other day how no one was fat. She a bit younger then me and i can remember when fat was the anomaly but skinny is the anomaly these day--to her its a given in her generation..
While out and about, get a local wild edibles guide and learn foraging. Learn how to spot and harvest edible mushrooms. Take cuttings where not prohibited for rooting and planting. Perhaps explore guerilla gardening if you don't have your own land or at least swap service for land use with someone who has land but may be disabled or elderly- you can grow a garden on someone else's property and share with the land owner the fruits of your labor. It builds community relationships as well which may come in handy.
Thank you for another very important video. It's sickening what is happening to our economy. Really discussing that these power hungry criminals are getting away with it. Maybe your next video can be on medical prepping. That's a big concern for me. Both of my parents are in their 80's and we have other family members with medical issues. I will probably be the one dealing with medical issues in my family, because I have some medical background. When I say 'some", I mean I am very limited in the medical field. Thank you for all the great info you share on your channel! Take care and God bless!!!
@@SurvivalTheory I'm coming up on 40 and I'm determined to not be overweight/out of shape. Have started keto diet and working out regularly. It feels good. I paid more attention at the store, and yep, most people are overweight here (Portland Metro Area), it is rather disturbing. Hate to say it but a food shortage would do them some good.
I am almost 56 and I can run circles around someone half my age lol. A healthy mind and body will get you far in life. Thanks for video. Stay safe snake
Yep, we are in our mid-50s and 60s and we've been busting our tails. Most people we know are carrying a lot of extra weight and get winded easily. Some have tried fad diets but still drink like they're 19 & on shore leave. Party time is long over but the fog hasn't quite lifted yet.
I'm surprised all the time how at my age i can out athlete most of the kids. Shameful. Still have to be careful with my old body though. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Make sure to be thankful for it, I went from best shape of my life at 50 to bedridden 2 weeks later from a reaction to medicine I should not have been taking to begin with.
@@williamburdon6993 I get it. I'm rollin with one bad flipper from a car wreck. One of the operations to try to repair it had me circling the drain for almost a week. Health is more precious than anything.
Agreed, the most important prepping is physical and mental; all the gear in the world won't save you if you are physically and mentally weak. America has a serious obesity epidemic, it's disgusting. Forget boring, over-priced gyms; get fit and prep at the same time by hiking, biking, hunting, foraging, bugging-out, etc.
They will keep raising the price of gas because I have not heard one peep about it, either on the news , internet or even people I know. I guess they like paying 4 dollars a gallon.
Yoga does alot of good(not the chick in the spandex type)but the indian stuff.I used to do landscaping/tree work for years when I started doing real yoga i always had energy and didn't need much sleep.I always felt relaxed and calm, never got sick and recovered from injuries incredibly fast.My body could handle alot more physically stress and i had more longevity/stamina.Riding a bike and doing systema also helps out alot.
Awesome as always. My wife and I are preparing the best we can, we will have enough food and water for quite a while {unless someone takes it from us}, But I am not realistically going to be able to bug out , I can barely walk into the doctors office from the parking lot , not because I am out of shape, it is just too painful. We are both near 70 and she has breathing issues overweight , diabetes starting, our only options are bugging in, or the government taking us to a camp. NO THANKS! We also have a 17 year old grandson who has lived with us 3 years . He is not nature wise, or street smart. If he were I would think his best chance in a real shtf all gone to heck, he would be better off on his own , scrounging and hiding out until it settled down. What do you think snake and followers? I am going to try to spend some time in nature this summer with him and at least teach him to make a shelter fire ,cook something, filter and boil water , basic first aid and trauma wounds. I am also going to try to teach him safe firearm use. Any other ideas? MY main question is , if he were semi compoetent in survival, would his chance be better on his own being mobile if necessary, or in a basement with his grandmother and I , hoping marauders don't come?
Me personally, I could never leave family that I care about. But if they thought they wanted to stay despite it no longer being safe.... Maybe I would just set a few traps and make my stand?!? I live far out in the country so my situation will be diff. I hope I never have to make that choice.
i often wonder how many people in them food lines don't really need the food but R there because it's free.. i know a couple here in haines city that hit up all the free spots then take the food back to the quarters and sell it to the old and poor who can't get out,,, then they take the money they made off the free food and go to Saul's store and spend it on lottery tickets
I noticed an interesting thing about Costco… it used to be that Walmart was where obese people shopped but every time I go there I can’t help but notice Walmart people are mostly normal weight or overweight… it’s rare to see an obese person at Walmart anymore. Costco though, see plenty of obese at Costco and sams.
Sadly this is a world wide issue , gas in my country is by US calculations , currently at $5.67/ gal . Food inflation is around the same percentages of increase also. Crime has risen here also and gangs are getting bigger and meaner. Give it time , you'll soon see the overweight folks shrink , its just not feasible to choose fast food over gas and everyday living costs any longer. The great shrinkage has started.
Getting fit takes work. People like the idea of prepping, but don't want to put in the work. Buying cans of food is easy, losing 50 pounds isn't. People are dating the idea of prepping, not married to it. Better say their vows soon.
LOL ! Glop in a box for supper in between fast food joint stops. Don't push a $200 mower when you can ride a $3000 lawn tractor. Gotta get back to the cable ! Drive for 10 minutes around the parking lot to find a spot 5 steps closer to the entrance. Poisoned by big business and distracted by social media....ain't America grand !!?!?? Read the book - "Salt Sugar Fat: How the Food Giants Hooked Us" Stay safe yinz guys !
Funny thing. I heard you talking about fat out of shape people, so I looked to my right and four out of the six people are, to put it nicely, out of shape.
If I see a very skinny person with no muscle, it it sadly an indication of a very sick diabetic that limits there food, to reduce the usage of insulen.
No I don't believe you did 207 you weren't even sweating they can only just about do that in prison granted they weren't full pull-ups they're only quarter pull-ups but you would have been sweating at 207 were you joking
