  • I recently got a Rekluse RadiusX automatic clutch for my 2016 KTM 1290 Super Adventure. The main goal was to enable me to ride longer with less fatigue to my hand and arm. Of course the added benifit of improved off road control is a pleasure too. I go through everything, from unboxing the clutch to full install and initial test ride.

    Thanks for the video. I've just lost my left hand's index and middle finger in a snowblower accident and I don't want to change my KTM 1290 SAR for an Africa Twin with DCT. I will definitely get the Rekluse for my bike. Happy to see that there is a good solution to my problem!!!

    You getting better on the off road shit? Which lake you talking about... White City ponds? Nice vid. Now lets see you wheelie that puppy.

      I'm not sure how I missed your comment. Dang UA-cam. I think I'm always getting a little better each time I go offroad, even if it is just a tiny bit. For me, "the lake" is always Applegate. It is our go to. Whether it is a good asphalt run or a little gravel road action Applegate has it. I'm always working on the wheelies, I'll have to make sure the camera is running next time.

    Hi Adam, good and clear video, also nice to see you got confused by the odd-plate🥴
    Next week i will receive my brand new SA-S 2021 with quickshifter. After the engine break-in and meanwhile waiting for the Rekluse postal deliverytime, my dealer will fit the RadiusX. I am very curious on how i will experience the combination, as my former bike was a Honda CRF1000-DCT That is nice bike, good for athritis patients, but a poor torque bike also☹️ Happy to be back soon on a KTM with all new features aiding my bad wrist on the clutch and gearbox!

      Congrats on the new bike. I really like the new S. The Rekluse should be just fine with the quick shift. Once the clutch locks up (a little above idle) it acts just like a normal clutch. So there shouldn't be any interaction with the two. Thanks for watching, I'm glad I was able to help someone out!

    Great video man. Were you able to do the other one riding the actual bike on and off road?
    What is your opinion of the product?
    Would you order it again?
    Have you seen a benefit when riding off road and on traffic?
    No splitting lines!! so sad.

      Thanks for watching! Here, almost a year and half out, I've put about 15k miles (24K Km). I am very happy with it, it has enabled me to keep riding even with all the issues I have with my hands. I would definitely order again. Like if I got a newer bike, it would be the very first mod I did. I have found that riding off road, it is almost like cheat mode. I am able to drag my rear brake, keep the rpm up, and pick lines while crawling at much slower speeds that I could attain back when I had full clutch control. In traffic, I can just leave the bike in first gear, use the rear brake and rest my hands by not using the hand controls. I have been through California a number of times (really easy since I live 28 miles from the border), and spent a total time of a couple hour lane splitting and it is just like the off road, drag rear brake, RPMs up, maintains speed and stability really well like that. Thanks again for watching, hope this helps.

    hello, I have a physical problem related to the use of the clutch, with the Rekluse system combined with the quickshifter I could safely ride the bike without ever using the clutch lever? thanks

      I don't see any reason why not. Only real problem might be getting started. You'd have to either bypass the clutch switch so it will start in gear, or start in neutral and bump it in to gear.

      @@AdamNDJ thanks for the answer,I thought that the shifts at low revs were abrupt, and the gear pedal became hard, instead, you are telling me that you can drive safely without pressing the clutch. Thanks again.

    I have questions, next gears 2-6 need to put clutch? And high speed or off-road can use clutch?

    • @AdamNDJ
      @AdamNDJ  6 місяців тому +1

      Clutch still retains all normal operation. Still need it to shift. Still works as a power modulator when off road. Clutch up wheelies still the same. Only difference is that I can come to a stop without using the lever. Makes slow speed moving easier.
