Okay, now I know what people will say. This Michael obviously does not live up to the full standard that Gemmy set back in the early 2000s. However, I will see the positive side to this one and say that this is by far most definitely the best Michael Myers animatronic we have received in a while. I only say that because of the detail and the overall look of this guy. Not to mention he SERVO MOTOR!!! We have never seen a servo motor for a Michael Myers animatronic. I'm genuinely impressed however what gets me is that he STILL does not play the Halloween theme like he should. I don't know what it is about that theme song, however obviously there's something to the licensing of that's the case. Overall, he is still a really good one and if you are looking for a Michael Myers animatronic I would highly suggest this one. I hope you truly enjoy the video! This in my eyes is the best since the Gemmy ones, but this is a testament to how much effort was put into the Gemmy ones having lifelike movements. The servos on this guy are an excellent touch, but the way he moves is killing me- why he has to stop his head and body movements when he stabs and why he doesn't move his torso more is beyond me, and I don't know why he has to stab for so long when he moves. The movement on this is extremely robotic, even with servos, and I wish they would have tried to program him better. I also think just scary ambiance noises would have been a much better sound choice over this piano melody. Despite all that, he looks really good and a lot like the movie Mike, a very decent prop overall. Great review👍
@@scaretactics4489 Thank you so much Scaretactics! That means a lot coming from you. I would say I agree with you. I think he has good and bad aspects to him. I think you're right about the robotic aspect of it and I have to admit that his movements aren't as real as it could've been. I wish however that we could've received the Michael with the theme song or at least like you said ambience sounds. I will go to defend the melody only in the case of comparing it to that awful Gemmy ringtone Michael that has just destroyed the Halloween name. Obviously this guy isn't perfect, but I would say it's the closest we have received to a good Michael prop.
@gemmybonez459 Definitely agree about the theme, there's gotta be some kind of legal thing that's stopping everyone from using it or something, it's so strange. I don't know what the designers and excecs over at Gemmy were smoking when they made the ringtone Myers, but I want some lmfao

Awesome video, definitely best Michael Myers we’ve got in a long time. I did an overhaul of this guy where I fix his theme song and a few other things on my channel. Gonna release a step by step soon.
@@BoneyardStudios13 I completely agree that this is by far the best one we have received in a very long time. It's got practically everything we've wanted besides the theme and I can live with what they made us here. Also, I would LOVE to see that rehaul please let me know when you do the step-by-step
I really like the animation… the head tilting looks really cool…
But that music, its nothing like the Halloween theme… could have just been the breathing and would have been cool
@@profesormacabro I agree with you on all of these aspects in regards to this Michael. I will say I definitely prefer this song over that awful ringtone that Gemmy used in their model. I would say that the animation does make up for it a lot. I really can't complain. I am disappointed about the song tho. It's sadly just not the Halloween theme. It'll be the day when we see a Michael with the theme song again.

It's cool that the eyes look nice, however considering he's Blood Tears Michael, he literally shouldn't even have eyes...
It makes sense and I agree with what you're saying. I definitely think that if they did blood tears Michael they shouldn't have added the eyes. I almost wonder if they experimented with it and there's a chance that it looked too weird... We can only assume. I would love to see the prototype of this thing
@@gemmybonez459 A lot of the merchandising recently seems to have the blood tears, it's possible it's a studio mandate situation and added late into production like you said.
Look carefully at the actual movie, you can see his eyes still in his sockets after Laurie shoots them..
@@Komet163B In some shots yes, in others it's just black/brown. And they're certainly never this visible. Either way, he literally can't have eyes because they were shot out.
@@SoftEndyWell every company that does Michael Myers is always gonna do Halloween 2 I think they just have the licensing to use it. Because sometimes when I see that they had the license to H20 im like 😱 finally it's not Halloween 2 or even then in 2010 or 2007 they had rob zombies Michael Myers

I would definitely say it's worth the hype! While it's obviously not perfect, for being a modern Michael Meyers it's definitely not bad at all! It may be one of the most underrated props this year.
I have a feeling that Home Depot and SVI will come out with a better one next year, particularly with servo eyes. This one is pretty good though, I’m a bit tempted to get it.
@@cgimichaelmyers2806 Well the way I see it is that if they did Chucky as well as they did there's no reason why they can't with Michael Myers. I've been waiting every year to see if HD will produce a Michael and hopefully like you said, one with eye movements and hopefully the real theme song. I would honestly suggest trying and snagging this one. It's truly a good piece of work by Spirit.

I do have the 2010 Michael Myers but I was thinking of getting a second one to customize. Is the mask on this one removable?
@@cgimichaelmyers2806 I do believe with a lot of effort you could peel it off. It is loose on the back of the neck but it's nicely secured on there. I would say you could give it a shot but I don't know how good it would go.

He is so cool. At the moment I'm not done with the video but he is definitely a good Michael Myers prop. He's so much better than the crappy Gemmy remake. This new one has great animation. He looks great. The biggest downside to me is the music.
Oh my gosh a million times better. I am still so disappointed that the theme song was not implemented. But honestly, if even Spirit Halloween couldn't even get a hold of the rights to put on this guy, it's obviously not Gemmy's fault for the audio choice. There's something more to not being able to get the theme song they need unfortunately. Over all though, I would say that it's a solid Michael Myers prop and the movements and design make up for it.

@@dalegribble8140 I've heard a lot of different things here as of lately. I think one of the things is that the copyright for the theme song is quite expensive now and if not that I've also heard they don't sell the theme off like they used to. It makes no sense to me either. The body movements and appearance aren't bad at all but unfortunately like you said the theme is missing and I don't know why. It's upsetting so I'm still hoping we'll get something at some point

the closest we’ll get to a modern ‘09/‘10 gemmy Michael 😭 imo wish crazy went with the ambiance music direction if they couldn’t afford the rights to the theme, if it was a halloween 4 Michael I think the music would’ve worked since it’s similar to the various h4 music tracks that sampled Laurie’s theme
I almost want to believe that they played their options and looked at what they could do with it. There's a possibility that they may have tried to dish out an h4 theme but unfortunately slapped it over an h2 Michael. It's not bad, but I am still trying to understand what it is about the Halloween theme song that is so hard to get a hold of.
cgi michael kinda touched on why it’s possibly hard for companies to use the theme and it pretty much boils down to contracts and whether or not the music producers want their music to be used and how much they’re asking for
. For h20 michael I don’t remember if it was a “secretive” collector that said h20’s music producers had beef or if it was a halloween historian that said it hence why they used resurrection’s theme, iirc one of the music producers asked for a lot of money or for his music to not be used
ALSO I Just realized that the music on this Michael is very reminiscent of the death theme that plays at the end of halloween kills during the town massacre but very toned down
@@spookylantern8897 It really is such a shame that the fate of a song hangs in the balance of someone who's being petty through beef with someone or something. Like you said, there is always the possibility that it's simple money issues. I know apparently the Halloween 2 title is much cheaper than any other title out there because it's not probably as popular and so it's easier to get ahold of. Unfortunately if any of these reasons are the case, I just don't think we'll see a Michael with the theme song any time soon. Until then we can only hope. I really appreciate that insight. It brings a lot into perspective.
Also I didn't even realize that. I may have to see if I can find that scene and see what's going on with that.
Can the mask be peeled off like Spirit Halloween's Leatherface?
@@horribleboo Based on how it felt if I remember correctly, it did feel like the mask could possibly be peeled off. However, I would be hesitant to try it if it doesn't feel like latex or rubber vinyl

This is a mega unpopular opinion:
I don’t mind the music. I didn’t like it too much at first, but honestly, if you snuck it into the 1978 film, I actually don’t think it would be that easy to notice
I actually agree with you! Not to mention I just think that the song here that they use on him truly is not the worst. It genuinely sounds like a Halloween song from the movie and it actually kinda fits. I think that's why I have not been bothered by it so much.

@@og1lorl865 I am 50/50 on Dr. Payne. I like the concept but I unfortunately think that his size is a bit awkward especially his legs. It's something we haven't seen tho and so I think that he has that running for him. Overall not too bad.

I only think time will tell. I think this will be the closest that we'll be able to get for now. Idk what it is about that theme song that they can't get a hold of. It's unfortunately disappointing that even Spirit couldn't do it. But we'll see what happens.

Like with most animatronics, my opinion on them change over time. And my opinion on this guy has most certainly changed. 💀🪦
