    Delicious cooking prime rib! You can ask your butcher to cut the bones off and then tie back on. Makes for easy slicing. Most of us wanted a bone to chew on. Debi in Vicksburg, MS. 🥰🥰

      @RowesRising  8 місяців тому +1

      Sure Debi!! Aaron wanted the bones for the kids to chew on too. Haha little Viking babies. We left the bones just to see how it would cook. This was our very first time cooking. Makes sense to tie the bones back on it after removing the bones- that makes more sense than cutting a hot piece of meat- that was a bit of a struggle but my sharp knife made it easier. Debi tell your sister hello and thanks to you both again. You are both Angels.🌻🌻🌻

    We made a prime rib for Christmas that we got on sale. We cooked ours with the closed oven method it turned out great. We made french dip sandwiches with left overs. Froze some of the meat to make french dips a little bit later.

      Dipping in au jus is the best!! I worked for a restaurant in Staunton Va called The Depot and prime rib was the special on Sundays. Also a shredded prime rib sandwich with au jus- soooo good!! Never thought I’d make a restaurant quality prime rib- but we managed it!! 🌻🌻🌻

      @minnamae25 the food was so good! Crabcakes, Caesar salads, fettuccine Alfredo, seafood skillets, Cobb salads oh my it was the best place to eat and I worked there cause it was my favorite place- they had brown butcher paper and crayons on the tables and we still do that here at home on birthdays.

      @@RowesRising This was once the best place to eat around here. Owned by a true Greek. He knew how to cook and whoever worked for him, he taught them how to be a better cook. Wonderful man. When he sold the restaurant and moved away, this town also lost a good place to eat and hasn't had a good one since.

    You paid for your prime rib what one meal would have cost at a restaurant. That and New York strip is the best cut of roast and steak for pot roast chuck is the best. My dad when he was alive would always bring 🥩 rib eyes in the summer when he came to visit from the local butcher that he got a deal from in Massachusetts where he moved when my parents divorced. We raised steers growing up because my dad loved good beef!!! Also we raised pigs to and we had a meat room in our basement we rented out I learned to cut meat young. Happy New Year I wish you a Safe and Happy New Year and a healthy New Year Year and that you and your husband both feel better.

      My father taught me appreciation for good meat too.
      The prime rib fed my family so many meals. Aaron and the kids had steak 3 days in a row plus the soup. We hope to be raising more meat in the future. We have raised pigs to slaughter and it was the best pork I’ve ever had by far. 🌻🌻🌻

      @@RowesRising it is so good!!! People do not realize how many meals you get. I live alone now I am so blessed by my daughter she brings me her leftovers. She also comes over and we cook together I also have a tenant/friend that lives in my basement apartment that trades rent for helping me. He and I also share meals. I came up with a awesome sheet pan meal out of leftover roast my daughter made. It was one of the leaner tough ones you have to cook allot I had eaten all the veggies so I had meat left. So I use a Air oven for safety so I took onions on air bake which is convection spray a little oil to get them started if I had had peppers or mushrooms I would have used them. Then after they had started to cook I took the meat and spread it over the top you don't need allot then when it is warm I took mozzarella cheese over it. When it got a little browned I like it that way you could just melt it. I put in on toasted sourdough bread. But you could put in on any bread or grinder roll you could toast in toaster or just warm in the oven. I put mayo on mine because that's what I like. You could add cold veggies to. But a way to get a great meat sandwich out of not allot of meat you just like cut to shape to with pizza cutter or scissors. I told my daughter she is going to make extra roast so she can try it.

    • @RowesRising
      @RowesRising  8 місяців тому +1

      @wendy3437 we live doing that with leftover meats like carnitas or chuck roast- yummy!! I need to make that again. Thank you for the suggestion. 🌻🌻🌻

      Your Carnitas looked so good!!!I can never have enough Mexican food!! My daughter has been using the cheap chicken legs in the slow cooker for burritos I love the flavor so much more. Also then you get the meat etc.. as you know then you can add whatever you want. We add taco seasoning and the broth and roll them and top with cheese sometimes sauce change it up. But cheap 🐔🍗🐔 legs 49 cents makes a ton of meals.

    So my daughter is a CedRD. I know that malnourishment can cause pancreatitis especially reintroducing proteins. You may want to consider a rd that specializing in helping you reintroduce proteins in your diet. I’m not saying you need a CedRD but we can’t change what we don’t acknowledge. So if this is something that may sound familiar and you restricted in past you will get really sick when reintroducing. Prayers for recovery whatever your health problems are.
