Great video. I have watched AMC since I was a child. Great memories. Palmer was the real Dude. Together Palmer and Adam set the bar where it remains untouched to this day. R.I. P. PC
So sad, another daytime star has left us. He & Francis Reid will be very much missed. Thank them both for giving us so many wonderful memories. And may they both RIP.
Wow, I just found out James Mitchell passed exactly one year ago. Just so happen I was watching Shirley Jones movie clips and viewed "Out of My Dreams" from Oklahoma movie and James Mitchell danced as Dream Curly. Side videoclips showed young James Mitchell as a dancer in movie musicals and as Palmer Cortland on All My Children! Watched AMC in 70's during Nina & Cliff episodes & fairytale wedding. Great to see the AMC tribute clips, especially w/Myrtle Fargate at end who knew Palmer's true past.
I have watched All My Children since I was about six years old. I've been through more than half his years on this show. He was such a great character and a great actor. He was one of the last of a fading breed of soap actors. He is greatly missed. This was a wondeful triubte and rememberance of him. Thank you.
James Mitchell was awesome as Palmer. One of my favorite characters ever on the show. All My Children has lost so many greats and just isn't the same anymore.
RIP PC..you are missed. I had the honor of meeting James Mitchell back in the late 80's and he was such a gentleman and so kind.He took the time to talk to us and take pictures with him. I'll always have that memory.
I love this! I so love when he and Opal are in PVH and they talk about each other. Then hold one another's hand. I think it's so cute! I adore the end with Myrtle! I loved the whole thing! Thank you for making this for all of the Palmer Lovers to see. R.I.P James Mitchell, you will be dearly missed. Also you all don't forget to say prayers for his family and friends.
WOW... Did'nt know he pass for real, got addicted to watching all my children when I was out of work in the 1996 grow to have a love hate relationship with the character of Palmer and Adam... Tune back in briefly in 2011 to find out about those character 's from long ago... VERY VERY sad to hear James Mitchell has pass in real life.... RIP very accomplished actor!!!! He was one of the reasons I tune in every day back then... R.I.P and I SAY AGAIN R.I.P!
I started watching AMC with my Dad in 1982 when I was ten. And as much as I latched on to the young star-crossed lovers like Greg, Jenny, Jesse, Angie, Tad, Liza, etc. it was the older couples like Palmer and Daisy (and Phoebe and Langly) who were the most fun and the most endearing to me.
This is incredibly touching and lovingly put together. Thank you for doing this. It's a keeper! Let's hope AMC can put together something half as memorable!
wow this is heart breaking ive been watching since jenny and greg and when erica was a model bak in the day this is my favorite soap ever we will miss you palmer...
I saw Palmer and Nina back in the 80's when they came to Barrie Ontario Canada..and spoke to all the fans at the mall..It was pretty cool they stood on stage and answered question after question....very good sense of humor.
I was just watching TCM and they were playing a Fred Astaire movie named The Bandwagon. I thought I saw James in it. So I looked him up on Wilkipedia and found out a few minutes ago that he died. He was in that movie and he was a dancer. It was weird seeing him young and maybe better built than Gene Kelly. Wilki said he was a dancer and a ballet dancer too. But one look at him and I knew that I had seen him before. It was his eyes and cheek bones. Age doesnt change all features. RIP.
This was a magnificent Tribute to James Mitchell. May I put it on my Fan Page Soap Savers INC. I would love for everyone to see what a true soap lover can do. Thanks you can Twitter me at missnanse
Actually there was a fourth, his name was Andrew Preston by Cynthia Preston (Palmer's Ex Wife) played by Jane Eliot when she wasn't playing Tracy Quartermaine on General Hospital. She tried to pass of Andrew as Ross's but he wasn't.
Would you say in retrospect Cortlandt Manor was a lot like Collingwood Manor on Dark Shadows and I once read that Collingwood Manor was the Inspiration for Foxworth Hall in VC Andrews Breakthrough Cult Classic "Flowers In The Attic". There was so much anger, sadness and loneliness. Palmer interfering in Nina's Marriage to Dr. Cliff Warner, Abandoning His Son Ross when he needed him growing up, Taking Will Cortlandt under his wing who was a SOB! Marrying Nathalie only to have Ross Rape her, losing his fortune than rebuilding it, and God knows what else.
Lovely! I ending is very touching. RIP James Mitchell
God Bless You.... and thanks for all the fabulous years on AMC!
What a wonderful tribute. I enjoyed watching him on AMC for many years. It won't be the same without him.

Palmer, damn!
Could it be just yesterday that Palmer was forbidding Nina to see Cliff? So many fun memories. RIP Mr. Mitchell, Palmer Cordtland.
I used to love his and Adam's bickerings.
RIP :(
Yes I did do it myself. And thank you.
Loved palmer and daisy
RIP Palmer & Myrtle

Oh Palmer... I will miss you! Say hello to Phoebe, Myrtle, and Mona for me!
RIP, Mr. Mitchell.
Palmer had many great storylines. My personal favorite was when he and Erica set out to prove Lars was a....Nazi!
I like that you made a tribute to James Mitchel, but the music is so loud I can't hear the dialogue.
Palmer and Opal. One of the last true love stories in Soaps
Palmer had three kids: Ross Chandler, Nina Cortlandt Warner and Peter Cortlandt..
Actually there was a fourth, his name was Andrew Preston by Cynthia Preston (Palmer's Ex Wife) played by Jane Eliot when she wasn't playing Tracy Quartermaine on General Hospital. She tried to pass of Andrew as Ross's but he wasn't.
Who sings this song
I recently got a crush on Palmer, but then I got my heart broken when I found out the actor whom portrayed him was gay.
so did palmer and opal ever reunite? i liked jimmy mitchell, but couldn't stand palmer for the most part

Both Palmer and Myra could have easily been characters on Dark Shadows!lol
I hate the music theseneedto be reloadedwithoutthatcrap ruins the tribute
