Our Full Tour of Disney's Contemporary Resort | Garden Wing Water View Room

- In today's video, we decided to stay at another Disney World resort to do another full Disney resort tour. This time, we stayed at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, right next to Magic Kingdom. The Contemporary Resort is a deluxe resort and it was one of the first resorts at Disney World. It is such a cool spot as the monorail goes through the building. It is considered an ultra-modern Disney resort and you can stay in the main Contemporary tower or in the Garden Wing. Since we went close to Christmas, prices were crazy high so we ended up staying in the Garden Wing rooms. We had a water view garden wing room. The perks with this Disney Resort is that you are minutes to Magic Kingdom. You can walk, boat, bus, or take the monorail to Magic Kingdom. You can also take a monorail to EPCOT and some other resorts. If you are at a certain spot at the Contemporary Resort, you can see the fireworks from Magic Kingdom. There are some really great restaurants in Disney’s Contemporary Resort so those are worth going to. Overall, the Contemporary Resort is a very expensive resort. The location is hard to beat. However, we would recommend waiting and going more in an off season instead of around Christmas time but the perk with being there at Christmas time is they have great decorations. thanks for the video! We almost always stay in the Epcot resort area but decided to try this for a 4th of July getaway. I'm paying $363 to $391for a four night stay with my AP in a resort view garden wing. I'm happy with that price and excited to try a new resort.

Is this weather typical for Disney around Christmas? We are going 12/22-12/29 this year and staying here as well
Good question! There are times in December that we have to wear sweats and long sleeves and other times we have to wear shorts haha. I would prepare for maybe some cooler weather but just keep an eye on if it’s going to be warmer or colder. Hopefully that helps! Enjoy your time at Christmas!

@brittniejohnson8207 oh wow! Yeah when we used to fly in, we would just bring layers because for the most part, it may be cold in the morning but 60 in the afternoon

Do they have a bell hop to take your bags over to your room?
Not sure if they do or don’t. I know they have a place you can store them if you can’t check in yet. The way Disney is though, I’m sure if you asked for help, they will gladly do it! Sorry we weren’t able to directly answer this.
So I will be brutally honest with regard to the garden wing... we actually stayed in the main tower and walked over here to do the laundry one evening. It was very dark inside the hallways and the ceilings are very low and made me feel very claustrophobic. It was like something out of the Twighlight zone and the whole feel of it, really gave me the creeps. I would NEVER stay here in the wing section. But we absolutely LOVED the main tower. I highly recommend that if you can at all afford it. It is WAY better.
Sounds right but the main issue is obviously the price. I will say the rooms in the garden wing are all updated and nice! It is very expensive especially when we went at Christmas time to be in the main tower. We would love to stay in the Main Tower, especially a theme park view!
$800 a night 😱! Other than the location, I'm not really seeing an $800 a night room.

How was the walk from the main tower to the garden wing?
Hello! It isn’t really that bad of a walk. It’s pretty close. Maybe 5 to 10 min depending on what room you have. Hope that helps!

You can get better rooms on Disney property for half the money, and its location means nothing. Anywhere you stay, it’s no big deal to get to MK via their buses.
That price is just obscene for what you’re getting! And the last time we went, more than a year ago, we ate at Steak 71 for the first time.
It was almost kind of good, but for the money, no.
@@Ira88881 we go around and film different resorts. We are very familiar with Disney resorts and this one we wanted to show at Christmas time. We did a video on the Steakhouse as well. This stay wasn’t our favorite, as we have stayed and enjoyed others!
