This really breaks my heart. I mean, they way she looks at him, the way she talks to him. It's so sad. You can literally see how happy she was about the birthday party and about the helicopter ride. She did everything she could to make that work but some people just don't aprecciate that, that happens when you forgive a person over and over, they just don't care if they hurt you because they know you're going to forgive them just like that.
It is so sad to know Alissa after this lost all his friends and didn't have even a place to live. That's what happen when you cross the whole ocean for someone who wouldn't cross a lake for you.

ok so like i had no idea about any of this drama before the shane series but imma tell y'all what went down based on my findings.
Sooo alissa & jake met when they were super young. they obviously liked eachother and grew super close. Alissa started getting really attached to jake, but jake was just becoming an adult and gaining all this fame so why would he settle down? I do believe jake genuinely cared for Alissa but he just was not ready to settle down. Poor alissa probably tried everything to make him change his mind, but at the end of the day a man will change for who he wants to change for. it doesn't matter what you do! i think alissa was so mentally exhausted & just wanted attention from jake so that's why she turned to logan. he was the closest thing to jake she could get and she knew it would deeply hurt jake. i'm sure she regretted it right after, she acted on impulse. it's a sad love story but everyone has one, it prepared them for their next relationships. I think jake learned a lot and he knew how badly he treated alissa so that is why he is being so kind to Erika. maybe deep down he wishes it would've worked with alissa, but it didn't. So he is making sure it will work with Erika now that he is wiser and older. I hope Alissa is being treated well by her new boyfriend, we all know she deserves it.
I just want to add that at that young age a lot of guys would rather party and sleep around. And Jake being at that young age and living in hollywood and getting money and fame probably added to his ego so much that he realized he could sleep with hot girls so I think that's also why he didnt want to settle down at the time, and then additionally to that, Alissa was sleeping with him as well so it's like she was already treating him like a boyfriend which probably made him feel he didnt need to give her the title of gf since they were already messing around. There are sayings out there that are like don't give someone relationship benefits if they don't want the relationship with you. But everyone lives and learns and now Alissa is happily in a relationship and maybe Jake grew to realize he wants a solid relationship now with Erika.
