    Fabulous tutorial. Any tip to lighten the front of a synthetic wig, when the roots are just too dark for my skin tone??

    • @TheWiggyWoman
      @TheWiggyWoman  3 роки тому +2

      With a synthetic wig you can't permanently lighten the color... instead, you can use temporary color like Loreal Root Touch Up Spray in a blonde shade to lighten the roots. It will wash out, but it will help to tone down the dark roots!

    Some questions ....
    1. Four fingers from the top of your eyebrow, or from the bridge of your nose (between the eyes)?
    2. Where are the ear tabs supposed to sit? On top of- in front of- the top of my ears? They sit in a different position I’m pretty much all of my wigs
    Wow, you have provided some great tips in this video, and I love your delivery, it’s very clear and interesting. Thank you x

    • @TheWiggyWoman
      @TheWiggyWoman  3 роки тому +1

      Usually it is 4 fingers above the arch of the brow.... but you can play with it and see what works for you!!
      The ear tabs should sit just in front of your ear around where your ear (too) curves over and attaches to your head like where your sideburns are!

    Does the dry shampoo make it tangle more?

    • @TheWiggyWoman
      @TheWiggyWoman  3 роки тому +1

      It does make it dryer, and a little rougher so it can tangle more. Once I put the dry shampoo on I comb it pretty thoroughly if it’s straight and that helps a lot. If it’s curly, I just sort of let it be a little tangly so they don’t get over combed

    Can you tone down the color of a wig, and what about the perma-tess part that makes a wig look like a wig? I love the cut and length but the color and the messiness of the part ruin it for me. Any suggestions?

    Do we need to pluck the hairline or can we just use the concealer? Also, can we use a sharpie pen to color the roots?

    I received a wig in the mail that I love, love the color of the wig itself, but the roots are unnaturally dark for me (almost black) and way too long, not well blended. Is there anything I can do to lighten the roots or should I just darken the whole wig?

    • @TheWiggyWoman
      @TheWiggyWoman  3 роки тому +2

      If it is a synthetic wig, you can’t permanently lighten the roots :( - you can temporarily lighten it with some L’Oréal root touch up spray or eyeshadow though if you want to try to work with it.

    • @TheWiggyWoman

      No! Just the wig grip band, however Milano Collection makes a REALLY GOOD combo wig grip band and wig cap that I love. I like the band because it is secure and it doesn’t add a lot of bulk to keep me cool.

    Hi honey I’m a 50 woman and many people tell that I should not wear wigs cause I look older with long hair. What can I do to not look bad and to make my wig “realistic” with a mature woman’s face?? Help me!! 😫😓

    • @TheWiggyWoman
      @TheWiggyWoman  3 роки тому

      You are so sweet! I am wondering, what kind of wigs are you wearing? I know many gorgeous women in their 50s who wear long hair. I am in my 40s and don't see myself stopping with long hair anytime soon. So, I would read deeper into the question. Is it that you look older with a wig that doesn't look realistic that also happens to be long? Maybe that brand or styling isn't working? And then, I'd also read deeper to ask myself if I care about the opinions of the source. Are these people that you care about? Or are they random people who may not have your best interests at heart?

    Does the styling cream feel stiff when it dries? Do you comb through the part when it dries so it isn't stiff? Which cream do you use? Great video. Thank you!

    • @TheWiggyWoman
      @TheWiggyWoman  4 роки тому

      Hi! I’m so glad you liked it!!! This is the styling cream that I use! amzn.to/38KJ0XCIt it works similar to hairspray or gel, when I use a bunch at the crown it’s on purpose because I don’t want any poof and I want it to be a little stiff, but it does comb out when I use a comb on it. On the face framing layers, you see I use a much much smaller amount so it stays flexible and doesn’t impact the hairs movement 💕❤️. Give it a try and let me know how it works out!

      You want things that are gentle, and don’t include alcohols or anything sticky. With synthetic wigs they are non pourous. Nothing gets absorbed, so it leads to more build up and tangling. Stick to things like Tressallure wig wax spray or styling products made for synthetic wigs!

    Synthetic wigs normally look shiny and stringy and you can’t curl them! That’s their biggest downfall . However the ones you have look so nice!

    • @mave143
      @mave143 4 роки тому +1

      Chimere Trielle Bryant---- that's not true. Most synthetic wigs can take heat up to 400 degrees. The wig companies have come a long way with synthetic units.

    • @d-r5104
      @d-r5104 4 роки тому

      I imagine hers are very expensive. They do look nice. I've never seen a monofilament top for under $200-300. For that much money, I'd just buy human hair. The standard wig cap on cheaper synthetic wigs do not have a part or may have a small "skin top" part. You can not move it or add to it with that kind of cap construction. You can't fix the poofiness. So most of these tips don't work if one is on a budget.

    I just found this video today. You mentioned it in your awesome video about the Tabu wig by Ellen Wille which I ordered. You look more natural in this style than any other reviewer I have seen. Did you work on your Tabu's part in the exact same way with styling cream and concealer? Tabu's part has no mono and I am not sure if I should just follow these steps on a basic cap as well. Your Tabu looks almost like you plucked the part. Did you? Please share your wisdom, I really appreciate it! 😇

    • @TheWiggyWoman
      @TheWiggyWoman  2 роки тому

      I did NOT pluck the part! That is just concealer and kind of flattening it down so that there's more of a V type separation at the part than the poofy part it comes in. Which reminds me, I haven't worn Tabu in a while and I think it's time to bring her back out!
