I never even knew about sprayed edges or deckeled edges. But keep doing those hot takes, books you didn't like and stuff - that's much more interesting for some reason ^^
i agree! i'm not a kindle person, so i have no informed opinion there, but superfluous "upgrading" just isn't it. and i'm not a fantasy series reader, but yes, i think there can be much editing of those thousands of pages. arguably, people like them for their length -- they want to spend as much time as possible in the world my fave bookmarks are just random strips of paper. i leave them in the pages once i'm done, and it's a tiny time capsule of when i read the book
@@bibliosophie Yes! I don’t think we need to buy the next new thing when what we have perfectly suffices. And I totally agree, I know some like length because they get to live in that world longer but for me, it feels like it takes away from the story if we’re just adding unnecessary length. I love using the receipt from book shops or other little paper mementos as my bookmark. Bonus if I buy a used book and it has one from the previous owner! Thanks for watching! ☺️
