Bro, you don't know how much I needed this video. I'm literally at the stage of being "good enough" to start raging when I don't win, it's started really ruining my enjoyment of the game for no reason. It's because there are no more extremely obvious flaws to work on, so you start feeling that you got it all more or less, when that cannot be further from the truth. But someone needs to remind you occasionally.
Happy Thanksgiving Trunks! It Is nice to see you explore other formats to keep sharing useful advice, improving Is a hard process but we're here for it and I'm never backing down, I need to work on a Lot of stuff like my Ego and be More active on our comunity to break of that cycle of winning and then getting demotivated by a losing streak, you're such an inspiration, you're our goat, I'm glad to be a part of this comunity, thank you for everything! 🦉🎉
Dayum bro 😭, let’s gooo. I’m hella lucky to have u in the community, ur positivity and attitude really spreads to everyone brother 🙏 appreciate u. Let’s play soon, maybe a custom lobby stream on Saturday
@_TRUNKS Made it today's mission to give you this gift! You've been an amazing teacher and it's the least I can do! Thank you so much for thinking that way about me, I appreciate you too Man, Lets play on saturday! I really need some more coaching to fix my MR, see you there!
Incredible video, thank you so much. These are the things that can be easy top say to others, but somehow need explained to you when you're feeling that way. Since it's competitive, we compare our skill sets with others and really tend to beat ourselves up on the the things we don't know or feel we should know better. These things are complex, and we can take for granted our skills when we don't reflect on our past to see how far we have come, or look around us at the players that would love to play like us. It's our own individual journey, and that's why it's beautiful. Thank you for the content and all you do for the community.
@@ButtonClubFGC thanks homie, even though I made this video, I definitely need to hear the same things when I’m doubting myself or feeling demoralized, happy this can help others cuz I find myself needing these reminders DAILY, appreciate your comment 💯
Great video. Something that you are indirectly saying that is also true: drop the ego. Truth be told that is what holds many of us back more than anything: we are scared to get hit so we hesitate. We are scared to lose so we dont take risks, and we dont get better. As you said, learning a new skill will nerf you because you have to focus on it. I have found that players will improve rapidly if they are able to drop their ego. To do this, they must first understand that “you lose” on the screen does not automatically mean you are bad…it also does not automatically mean that your opponent is better than you. Have confidence in your skill: both what you possess and what you WILL possess.. The present and future are linked, and the godlike version of yourself already exists…you just need to catch up to it.
For the first part: write out on paper what your goal is (not winning but to successfully (or attempt to) AA each jump in. That's it, if you win but don't do the goal it's not a win. Then after each game, write opp and put a checkmark if you did it. You can lose most games but when you see your sheet with 10 ✅ and only 2 Xs, it's impossible to feel like you didn't accomplish what you set out to. The visual amalgamation of seeing it on paper really matters
You're actually the GOAT Trunks, the wisdom in your videos is just crazy. As a low MR master, I can't stress enough how joining a community can alter your path for the better, it literally ties in with number 1 too, honing your weaknesses can be hard if you don't even understand what you're doing wrong, practicing new tech or a new gameplan can be hard if you don't know what you should be doing. I've been religiously reviewing my replays for the last 2 months, but after just a month of coaching by my newly found community, I understood right away what I was doing wrong, and what I should be doing instead. I wouldn't say all my problems are solved, or that I know/understand how to fix all the mistakes that I do, but I have a much better idea on what to focus on in order to improve.
@mikey22355 I think Trunks is your best bet, but honesty I got insanely lucky, I found random people on twitter and reddit that were willing to help me level up
@vincentFGC thanks, I think I’ll try that once I hit master. It would be so much better playing long sets with people that know you’re just trying to practice rather than a random that takes it so personally when you beat them
Rule 3 is really really tough for me lol, i beat myself up about my play a lot. Even though i know i will never be perfect since nobody is i still place my expectations for myself too high lol
@@EldritchMephi great to have high expectations, but near perfect play is really hard to achieve, and takes many years imo, stay patient with yourself homie
I am at the point where I feel that if I don't learn to cross cut I am DOOMED! And it feels so damn hard as the whole concept is 100% counter intuitive to me. It hurts my brain just thinking about it.
