You won’t hear a lot about that yet because most guys still think Arteta is copying Pep. But Arteta style is much more than the way Pep plays. Arsenal are more diverse than City, who predominantly insist on playing one style that Pep has been working on for years.
Arteta on the other hand has learnt that and much more and blended many effective football styles into a blend that he switches over and over again in a single match or game by game to create advantages with and without the ball.
I prefer the Arteta style. It’s much more suited to PL and will eventually dominate Europe, no doubt.
3 more G/A before the end of the season, he will better his best G/A in his career. The right environment and system around him we have unlocked the Leverkusen version. He will get even better and predict he will crack 20+ goals next season. We may already have our prolific striker.

He's been decently clinical this year - his goals exceeds his xG by over one goal, but more since he's been CF - even the best strikers miss many big chances

We keep asking about our inevitable player. Havertz at 9 or 10 opens the wings that allows Saka to cut-in like Robben (the way we were noticing he did at the beginning of the season and like we saw today) or releases Martinelli to sprint for his 1v1s because Havertz does the dirty work just as well as he does the forward work.
It’s probably a cliche comparison but he is doing Müller stuff here. He facilitated Robben AND Ribery for years man. Kai is getting to that level
Agree. Saka doesn't get double or triple marked as long as Havertz is at forward
Havertz has been a revelation. Rough start to the point where I was doubting he would fit, but ever since about late October he has been impeccable. What a signing.

Need to be careful with the conclusion that we've scored lots of golas this season therefore we don't need a new striker. All very well pumping Sheffield Utd 6-0 but it's the half-chances against big teams where someone like Haaland scores and someone like Havertz might miss that make the difference
Add some confidence and composure to Havertz game and we are onto a top centre forward.
When Havertz arrived i like many fans had my doubts about him however he has been sensational once he settled into the team. Signing a striker to compliment/compete with him in the summer is definitely a necessity however i believe we need a top left winger more as Martinelli has been very good for us but is not consistent enough. A left 8 and left winger is where we should be spending the bulk of our budget this summer, if there is any chance of signing Isak this summer we could play him from the left and he could be sensational!
So where do we take Trossard and Martinelli?
@domniconyango3122 The same place we take Jesus if we sign a striker or Zinchenko if we sign a LB. Trossard is also versatile and can play a number of positions. Do you think Martinellis numbers are good enough for a team fighting for the title because as much as I love him as a player he hasn't been consistent enough. Do you think a high scoring left winger would be a bad thing because I certainly don't.
I get your question about a striker, but I feel we do need a striker not to replace Havertz but to complement him and bring variety to our attacking style. It's you can't depend on Jesus and Nketiah up front, so need to have a natural centre forward who will find us goals during the tough and easy games. A player who went we don't attack from the sides we use to break the teams through him. Plus, we all know that there will be days when Arteta will be dropping Havertz into the midfield. But if we can't get a striker, we need a quick and strong right winger to take the load off Saka.
If we have kia as st we need to sell eddie and Jesus because of knee and buy a second st.

Isak is that player we really need man.. he is the Rafeal Leo type player who can dribble past defenders and he is clinical
Martinelli should be our 1st or 2nd centre forward. We should buy 4 players -de Jong, gyokeres, Diomande and a speedy winger that can cross. Mudryk wants to play for us like Eze (crystal palace). I think he's given up on Chelsea. He isn't crap, just given up. We get him, then he will become the player we expected. Rumours say we are looking into Rodrygo but I think that's fake news. We still have Mika Biereth as back up. He can cover either wing. So many combinations for the front 3 if we get them.
1. Gyokeres Havertz Saka
2. Trossard martinelli mudryk or eze
3. Gyokeres martinelli Biereth
4. Saka martinelli gyokeres

I think the most pressing issues we have currently is a replacement for Partey and if Arteta doesn't want to use Nelson, sell him and find a replacement there too and possibly also a centre back to be able to rotate Gabriel and Saliba.

man, to be honest. I'm very very very happy with our team but if we want to be competitive against monster city and other big clubs in europe we need to have depth in our squad and that depht must be really good. Look at oil city their B team is better than most teams in big 6.Saka, Odegard,saliba, gabriel, they were gifts really. but we need more and thats gonna cost us.

Exactly why we should go for a Zirkzee to replace Nketiah and imo Jesus. Hard questions have to be asked this summer. Is it too harsh to think Martinelli is one of them in terms of fitting the system? When you look at Rafa Leao, he is comfortable hugging the touchline and can beat his man. Nico Williams similar but can additionally play on the right.
I agree with Rohan, my question is why the hell was Eddie, no one is in trouble, playing at all? We would have been well clear of City🤬
I am bothered with what we do in the summer. Our left side is a massive issue, and I don't think we can pin it all on injuries at LB. We need to upgrade on Martinelli, and be prepared to sell summer after next if this season proves not to be a blip.
I'm fine with Havertz as our main striker. I'd also sell Eddie and buy a developmental option. Especially with Jesus still in the squad.
Still think all our money needs to go first to a midfielder to partner Rice. I didn't like the Chelsea and Tottenham games (despite the awesome results), way too chaotic. I want our midfield to make opposition feel helpless. FDJ go.
Arteta sees things in players. White came in and played CB, looked like an over payment at the time. I bet arteta seen white doing exactly what he is doing now from day 1. He will have a plan for havertz that maybe we are only seeing the beginnings of right now.

In the Summer A pacy Winger who is inevitable.. this profile describes Last Season's version of Martinelli.. ironically it feels like the introduction of Havertz to the Left 8 Position earlier has Disrupted Martinelli..(while Havertz was adapting to the team B4 we discovered his best position as the False 9)..The injuries to Jesus and the Sale of Xhaka have kinda weakened the Left Side of the Attack...So my Question is Does Arteta Sign another Winger (Preferably someone who plays both Wings) or Fix the Left Side POD... Also another Caveat.. arsenal signing A New Striker is basically meant to UPGRADE on EDDIE NZETIAH profile..(Not to change the Dynamics in our Attack but to give Arteta another kind of Profile to Use)...I hear the Rashford shout outs but Honestly I think Martinelli can match his output if he was Platformed Properly... the Profiles of Viktor Gyokeres or Joshua Zirkee under Arteta Coaching would elevate the attack further (similar to what Gabriel Jesus did B4 he Got Injured).. whatever Arteta/Edu do ..I am Fine with... What we really need right now is 2 positions.
1. Someone who can really challenge Saka.
2. Someone who can replace Partey.
When Partey plays, we have options. We can play Partey and Rice together or either one of them. When Partey plays, we have no problem advancing the ball.
Jesus and Martinelli can both play on the wing or up front. So I'm not too bothered if we don't sign a striker. Havertz is going to occupy that position most of the time anyway. He's everything we need and he's always available.

Please don't get a target man striker. Makes the attack too one dimensional. Just look what happens to the rest of the attackers when Nketiah is playing. Also, don't agree with mbappe comment - man doesn't press or track back at all. The entire press would fall apart because of mbappe.
Could rashford as a left winger be the answer and someone like Bruno g on the left 8 take us to the next level! With Havertz through the middle and Saka on the right wing this would frighten people
