My mum died due to cancer a few weeks ago. She first got it and found out when I was around three (I'm 11 right now) and had only told her sisters and my dad. The doctors thought they got rid of it when she first went to hospital 9 years ago but it came back and had spread to her brain, I didn't know why she went to hospital and as I was three I didn't question it. When she went to hospital for the second time (I was 9 or 10) my dad told me that she had injured her leg and had to have an operation of some sort but in actual fact the cancer was actually in her leg. I was always naturally attached to my mum when I was younger and would always cry when she wasn't around. My parents really struggled with nursery! Of course as now I'm older I got out of crying when she's not around but I am and was attached to her. Loosing her feels like living a new life but with half of it destroyed. Also the fact I'm bilingual with my mum being Japanese makes a HUGE difference.. I don't want to forget how to speak Japanese and I miss all the food she made. Nights when I couldn't sleep I would go to her room and she would stay awake until I go to sleep. She was the only mum I could ever want and I miss her so so much. I think it was really amazing but sad of her to keep it to herself and ignore all that was going on, she was acting so normal when she could actually feel pain all that time. All the unique parts about her like taking our CAT out for a walk or the 4 hoovers she kept in the house made her so special. I wish she wasn't dead and it was all a big prank but I saw her die in the hospice bed and I know that it isn't a prank. The last day in the hospice was really fun. Although she wasn't very responsive and she couldn't open her eyes, I remember ordering Nandos to eat at the hospice and her trying to tell my dad that we couldn't have coke with it. I remember us reading a home made card with pictures from a family we're friends with. I remember her smiling although she was in all that pain and her holding my hand., although she could only talk a bit and although she couldn't look at us, I know she was aware of who we are and what was happening. I know this is random but I really wish they find the remedy for cancer.

about a year ago my grandma died from lung cancer, when i saw her feeling so much pain from coughing and radition i fekt really scare about having cancer and dying with pain.
It's inevitable bro you're gonna die either way with or without cancer and it's gonna hurt most probably .
I actually think it is down to bad luck. Some people have rubbish diets, drink smoke and lives till very old age. My mum was very active always cooked with lots of garlic and turmeric and didn't drink or smoke and developed bowel cancer that got discovered at 50. They took out the polyp, thought it was all gone and then she got told at 56 she has metastatic bowel cancer and died when she just turned 59. So in her case yes it was bad luck, especially knowing that bowel polyp would have been in her bowel for 10 years before it had turned canerous.
And for infants and children?!
blakaeg exactly I work with older women who all they do is smoke a pack a ciggrete and don’t even take care of them self yet they live to be at least 65 and then women out there in there 20”s getting breast cancer so yes it comes down to luck .

I lost my mom 😥😥 my mum suffered from rectal carcinoma. Surgery was done and as a side effect of that surgery my mom was infected with bacteria. Infection caused the death 🙄

Hello sir .. I don't know why I get cancer of my tesues skin cancer in my fingers ... I never smoke, I never drink lequor, I don't go to the pub or club . I only stay in our house and taking care of my children now.. I have my finger cut.. but still have a cancer on my palm spreading.. What kind of scientific phenomenon is "Bad Luck"? Perhaps a bit more research is called for. Or a better term: natural phenomena, maybe?. Perhaps the system for detecting these aberrant mutations is flawed? Is that luck, heredity or something environmental? Using the term "luck" in a science story is a bit off-putting.

how is typing similar to cell dividing? by cells dividing, and having chances to have "typos" in DNA. an example, is misspelling hello, because some letters are near it. that os like cell dividing because, though you know how it is, the chance of something being misspelled or edited when typing/cell dividing is still there.
