- Latinos represent the fastest growing voting population in the country, and they’ve increasingly become the swing vote in key battleground states. According to the Pew Research Center, an additional 5 million eligible Latino voters have been added to the voting rolls. That’s 62% of the total growth in Americans of voting age. In 2020, Donald Trump made significant gains among Latino voters in Florida and Texas - and even more Latinos voted for Trump in 2020 than in 2016. Some have been surprised by the increase in Republican support among Latino voters, but just like other voting blocs, Latinos are not a monolith. Paola Ramos, host of MSNBC’s “Field Report,” says that Republican leaders have also hit on a strategy that works. “Fear mongering doesn’t just work for white people, it also works for Latinos,” Ramos tells Ali Velshi.

The biggest mistake is lumping the Latin community together. Mexicans ; Puerto Ricans, Cubans, Venezuelans , Hondurans; each have different issues that affect them personally.
I agree Cubans are 3% of Latinos while Mexican Americans are 68%.
Like lumping black people together, lol I am black. Therefore, I must vote democrat.
That fact is fortunately becoming more accepted now. I remember in 2020 the left threw a hissy fit at Cuban Floridans for voting red, calling them "traitors to their race" among other things. Now there seems to be a lot less racist remarks like that this time around.

@@Emk315 There has and always will be black Republicans. The issue with Voting Republican recently was more to do with Trump. During Bush years and prior no one cared. People were lumping Latinos because of Trump and the rhetoric of "Mexico will pay for the wall" "Go back to your country" and things of that nature. Majority of his base do not care where you're orginally from. If you're not white then you're the enemy. Dems were accepting and fighting for all, the party is more diverse. But Dems got it wrong in terms of their base in Florida.
As a Mexican American 🇲🇽🇺🇸 living in California who mostly votes Democrat but conservative on some issues like guns and taxes. It seems like democrats are more focused on identity politics and cancel culture. While republicans tend to focus more on economic issues & in a time of high gas prices and inflation records. We want a strong economy , lower gas prices & more jobs, not more political correctness. Democrats are just not doing enough for us Latinos, they just show up during elections and use us as pawns talking about immigration talking points & never get anything done. They also invented the Term “Latin X” which I will Never use! 😂
We should all appreciate DEMOCRACY while we have it.
If we lose it, there will be no elections, no oportunities, no liberties.

you’re wrong on a couple of points. dems dont care about “cancel culture” (crap that the gop and fox news makes up), but yes theres a lot of softness on the left. and to have the attitude that “they arent doing enough for us” is straight toxic. its such a spoiled frame of mind to barter your vote with a return gain for your demographic(im latino and in so cal so dont @ me). this election right now is about keeping the CRAZY OUT OF POWER. we need to retain the senate so that we may continue to even have conversations like this, and not be talking about how the republicans are walking us towards an authoritarian dictatorship. this isn’t about what do i get out of it; this is about making sure more rights and freedoms dont get taken away from us.

$00.54 of every dollar you are spending on inflation goes in corp. nobles' pockets.
Monopolized corp goes unregulated.
Same corp nobles reaping record profits were the recipients of 2017, 14% tax reduction with perks.
Same corp nobles' hands were out receiving covid relief.
Why is oil and gas industry shutting down refineries, lowering gas refining?
Why do they not drill on existing leases?

As a Cuban American 🇺🇸🇨🇺 I can’t vote for the party that wants to disarm its voters just how Fidel Castro did to Cuba and how Castro Jr is doing in Canada. Latino is NOT a block at all...the only thing they have in common ( on the whole) is the Spanish language. Culturally they are very different people and each country/island/continent has its own ethnicity. Someone from Spain does not have the same values and cultural mores that someone from Mexico has, nor the same as someone from Columbia, etc.... It is ignorant to assume there IS a Latino block because they speak the same or have a similar colour of skin/hair.
I mean you do not refer to a white block in the US, we all mostly speak English, have white skin and European style hair. We DO NOT all vote the same.
Neither democrats nor republicans support reparations and neither group fights against the global apartheid socioeconomic and political systems because 81% of them benefit from it.
