This is why I'm always saying, the real trouble in hollywood is the writing. The business is in desperate need of people with talent for writing good stories. Like me.
Not just a Peter Pan movie, but a Peter Pan & Captain Hook prequel/origin story film... so presumably the story of Peter Pan takes place at or after the 90's... and Hook, which was set decades after Peter Pan... who the fuck knows?
I fell asleep this last week with my TV on I woke up in the middle of the night to Hugh Jackman singing Nirvana. I turned my TV off and woke up the next day thinking that it was a weird-ass dream.
this movie is so amazing. it’s crazy and unexpected and I feel like it portrays Neverland so well. It’s like a dream. I can’t believe it got so much bad ratings
Someone said that Blackbeard traveled through time and stole the children and ig the song struck him in some way but I feel like Kurt cobain was a lost boy in some way
The songs are done surprisingly well it just would have worked better if either they had a reason or said fuck reason and fit more in throughout the movie
It’s becuase Blackbeard stole kids from different time periods so some kids listening to nirvana isn’t that far fetched cuz he takes kids from any time period
Im feeling stupid. I thought Captain Hook was the bad one from the books which lose his Hand by a crocodile (?) Can someone please explain it for me? Does Captain Hook in the movie switch to the bad site Lager? I never was that shocked after this movie. Im feeling stupid about my childhood hero
According to this Peter and hook started out friend in escaping from Blackbeard's mines which he used to keep a continuous source of the pixum or fairy dust needed to keep him young and alive as he would be 300 years or so old since his disappearance from our world. Wich he man's by stealing orphans from our world to man the mines and when they grow up to refresh the dwindling numbers of his crew James hook in this continuity is one such orphan but the film never shows the battle between hook and Peter it's presumed at some point in the future that the relationship between hook and Peter ended in a violent clash
Why do I get the feeling the giant black guy was supposed to be played by someone like Tiny Lister, Terry Crews, or Ving Rhames but they all turned it down?
I personally find some of the commenters' foul language too salty for my taste, but let us not forget this is a CHILDREN'S movie. This is why the pirates look quirky and ridiculous. However, I do agree with many of you that the costumes were a little too ridiculous, but nothing could have been more ridiculous in the whole of this movie than floating islands and water bubbles populated by anti-gravity fish and flying crocodiles. Now, back to the pirates. The producers had to walk a fine line to not make them too frightening for very young children. For example, how many of us were scared speechless by the dark elements of Disney's "Snow White" when we were around 5-7 years old? As for the music, they were trying to be original-something movies are severely lacking in nowadays, and it does have a nice beat to it. Three other things I found completely absurd in this movie were: 1. The Neverbirds (Honestly partly skeletal birds with intact eyeballs and feathers. Not even The Walking Dead got that weird) 2. The natives' outfits ( Now I understand the outfits were inspired by jungle cultures, but these costumes look as if they came from Strawberry Shortcake) 3. The natives explode into plumes of colored smoke when they are shot by the pirates (Honestly, these was the most stupid element of the entire movie. It made them seem like human paintball pellets.) 4. Peter existing in WWII England (Neat trick, considering he meet the Darling children in Edwardian England) Besides the aforementioned blemishes, the movie was not as horrible as most people say it was. The acting was fantastic, the film had an interesting plot drawing inspiration from European folklore, and the cinematography was breathtakingly beautiful.
Am I the only one who feels bad for the boy at 0:43 ? Or all the other kids ? No one did think about them at the end of the movie. They clearly don't want to be there
NC: So tell me, how does this look back on history begin? 0:45 **NC throws the book out and without looking, shoots it with his gun, making pages rain down**
I heard the first song before like that a long time before In a dream and some where else but I don't know where or when 🤔.All I know it was way before this movie
Strangely enough I came here from a Transformers: Prime animation. I’m not disappointed, this version of the song slaps even if the movie is kinda questionable

It's a damn shame that this film couldn't have been done properly, because the set designs looks amazing. And Jackman is just awesome
Hugh Jackman would’ve been an awesome Captain Hook in a proper Peter Pan adaptation IMO.

Hugh Jackman, playing Johnny Depp, singing "Smells like Teen Spirit" on a floating CGI pirate ship. Is this real life?
No,it's in a movie but I see that it's so random and confusing
that is very tru
Believe me, it doesn’t make sense in context either.
