He has a saxophone that is about $1600 and he was questioning if he can play like this without an expensive saxophone. I looked up this guy’s saxophone and his is like $35,000. Is it required to have a saxophone that expensive to achieve sound like this
@@LWong-tq8gv Well honestly I couldn't tell you. He doesn't NEED one that is this price but a pro sax definitely helps the sound and pitch. Honestly he just needs better reeds and mouth pieces to sound this good. Vandoren reeds and Legere wood reeds are really good and for mouthpieces, any metal mouth piece is fairly good, especially selmer, Theo Wanne(Very heavy price), Otto links or Meyer for a hard rubber.
Kaitlynn’s Crafts there are different models for saxophones, student, intermediate, and professional. Also the manufacturer of the sax will say a lot with the quality of the horn. Pretty much to answer your question, it isn’t necessary to have a $35,000 dollar sax but a higher price sax will help out. P.S the mouthpiece and reed is a huge factor too when deciding the sound you want
