Robust Tropical Wave a Sign of Things to Come?

On today's update, I take a look at quite the robust tropical wave out in the eastern Atlantic. Does it portend the busy season that we've heard is likely? Time will tell but it certainly is potent for late May.

If it weren't for Mark's videos, whether it's these educational outlooks and discussions, or the Tracking the Hurricanes documentaries (especially him in Hurricane Charley back in 2004), I may have never got into watching and chasing Tropical Storms and Hurricanes on my own.

Interesting note, the set of names that's being used for this season has the lowest number of retired storms, though a couple of big snubs (Gordon 94, Isaac 12).
Then again, last year's list had among the lowest prior to the 2005 Season.
