Roundy round.
George’s “ feels more like an intervention “ comment was a lot funnier than it got credit for!?!🙏👍🏻🤣😂
It needs a damn roll hoop asap
George could do great stand up.
George ur late again intervention
How loud these motors are I doubt they hear anything particularly well 😅
I thought so too 😃😂😆😂
I’m so glad Sam is more comfortable being in videos cause he has so much wisdom to bestow, and some very clever things to say.
Much like Demo ranch when he shot all the guns, I want to see cleeter run every vehicle in the fleet down the quarter mile. It would be entertaining and I’ve been curious what some of them could do.
Straight Cut Gears - Even the tank???
That would require more than a hand full of them to be running at the same time
@@54racemantrue enough, but they could get em running over the winter and early spring just do a hot lap with every car as a warm-up for racing season
This is a great idea for a short series if he can’t fit it into one video.
Man when you asked -
"Would you hit the burnout pad with Neighbor or Toast ?"
I instantly said Neighbor, because that vehicle just hits home with me, being around since sub 100k subscribers and knowing that cars backstory in and out, that car is as just as sentimental and important to this channel as Leroy in my opinion.!
you just made me realise how long ive been watching
@@Veikra right? Remember when Mullet was going to be a jet car?
I so agree. Neighbor, Ruby tha Dale truck,, they're the Cleetus McFarland hotrods for sure. LeRoy is FAST, he's unique, well, he WAS when Cleetus first brought him out BUT there's quite a few 'copies' out there now BUT he's not the Cleetus image Neighbor and Ruby are. Used to be we seldom saw a car making a pass without all the body work on 'em,, then the racing community met LeRoy and the racing scene changed. S'ok, LeRoy will be back out there soon, break'n hearts and making grown men cry all the while setting NEW RECORDS in the process.
I said Neighbor because having never driven anything with more than 400 horsepower (let alone 1,000!) I feel like Toast might be too much for me to handle right away.
My instant reaction was neighbor 😂
I just want to say it’s good to see Cleet wearing ears with all these ridiculously loud cars now. Keep some of that hearing good for his new spawn
Huh 🤔 jk but yeah it's def good to see. I'm 31 and have mad hearing loss. It's seriously sad sometimes.
@@riffle91ar seriously my wife hates it but I never thought when I was younger that it would matter…..now I’m 32 and have a constant ringing and it hard to hear anything lower than 50dB
@@BobbyB910 yeah man it seriously sucks. I'm the same way. Not constant ringing but if things get even remotely quiet mine start ringing.
Cleetus: "What can you NOT weld?"
Ty: "Wood"
🤣🤣🤣🤣
use a "stick" welder
Hope that crack in the weld doesn’t come back to haunt them. Cast is a baitch to weld.
Sign that he's been asked that before
Ok hear me out caulking and glue
As a welder I don't know how that engine mount is going to work out, you can't really weld cast iron without alot of prep, mostly preheat and letting it cool very slowly along with using the right filler and slowly welding and using a needle scaler to help prevent stress as it's welded. I was watching on the big screen and could already see the crack developing in the weld. I usually don't like being the negative one here but please keep an eye on that mount.
Looked like there was already a crack in the fresh weld too, which isn't uncommon when welding steel to cast iron without proper prep... Hell, even with proper prep. That's why I prefer to braze if it's not cast to cast, but the vibration could be an issue.
I’m so happy Sam is always there and part of the team!
99s!?! That’s an eighth of an inch!
They need him for the oldschool stuff...
What was the first video with him?
I love the longer videos like this. 11 mins just isn't enough
I've been around since the whistling duck sound blow off valve days or what ever that was before Ed the Neighbour and everything, Sam is such a great asset for the channel and just seems like a genuinely nice fella and it's great to see him still working with his knowledge and a part of a much younger crew
Hell yeah brother, rip Ed
Actually, “do it for Ed”
I feel for Tye welding the motor mounts on. Back many years ago, I worked in a shop and we got cast iron knitting heads from a textile mill come periodically that had cracked and started leaking oil. Old guy that I apprenticed under had finally came up with a system to weld them. After extensive cleaning and prepping, we would build a temp furnace out of fire brick, get the head in there, ( it weighed about 350#) slide a burner in through a slot and heat the head slowly until it was dull cherry red. Turn the flame off, open the furnace, slide it out, and braze it with acetylene torch and brass rod. Finish up brazing as fast as possible, and then slide it back in the furnace and close it up to cool off slowly. Worked great. He tried everything before to weld them, nickel rod with pre heating, tig with different alloy rods, etc. Nothing worked except the furnace deal. Some of the hottest days I ever had putting your head inside that head and brazing it.
Sounds like a solid way to do it, shame they can't really do that with that engine block though with what they're trying to accomplish
I had to preheat a head off an old water cooled flathead to weld a crack in a cooling jacket. the amount of gas I used to preheat was astronomical 🤣
You saw that crack too?
@@udlman1 Yep...
I think it’s Safe to say it wasn’t a Mystery that I was gonna Rip that amazing unit with all I had 😂🤣

If it ain’t the crank sensor the whole dang engine goes. The luck Cleet has been having lately man, good call on letting Sam and Sam only mess with the Carb on the new block. 😆
Im starting to realise, the knowledge to be able to tune a carb is getting rare! Now i just need someone that wants to run carbs!
@Erikk Hyndman it seems funny, because just a few years ago the cat community would scoff at fuel injection. Now we have people who don’t know how you tune a carb. Lol!
I agree!
Just an idea, let Derek from VGG tune that carb at Bristol. He can do it by ear and barely needs a vacuum gauge. 👍
After this many engine failures, it’s not down to luck.
Ive never seen the Dale truck look as good as it did pulling out of the shop. I literally said "damn"" out loud
I love that Corn Cob is getting attention as if she's your, everyone is super involved and seems excited to see her all done. That's exactly what I'd want from a mechanic

@@MZ-bl6wg I am so very sorry. I must be an empath because I felt your pain and can relate.
First of all, you are correct in that this is all WRONG.
Second of all you are a red blooded man if this situation hurts.
Third you are here using automotive entertainment to kind of take the sting off all that has went down.
I've got 3 children 2 different mom's. My daughter is 17 going on 21. She surprise visited me 2 days ago just to say hi. She reminded me how she needs grandpa's 1968 Oldsmobile red convertible for her graduation next year. I just said yeah it will be ready.
My 2 sons...last time I seen them was april 19, 2015 at 9:15pm. I literally have not saw them one time since that date. No I didn't do anything stupid or unlawful. I had legal parenting time with my 2 young sons at the time, while the soon to be ex was prego with somebody else's baby. She didn't answer the phone all day for her "call". At 9pm I'd been playing all day with my 3 kids and my then gf's 2 kids. We did cool fun stuff all day. I cooked dinner for everyone and had to lay down and take a break as I was simply wore out. The ex came with the cops and seen my new gf and freaked and made excuses that I hurt my children. The cops said she should take them. I didn't even have a say so in the whole thing. I fought this for 3 years straight till I was totally and completely out of money. Every single time we went before that f.o.c. "judge" it just got worse. After another 3 years trying I just ran out of resources and breath..
My 2 sons are now 11 and 9 respectively. I don't even know what they look like. The daughters mother got with the 2 sons mother during divorce and made me out to be a terrible person then high 5'd after the hearing. My attorney pulled me out of there.
Those two conspired to get my dollar worth. They didn't get it but I lost my kids. The two mother's were trying to get at my retirement fund. That was something you can't just take from like a bank account but they tried. I kept working and paid $2340 per month as a regular mechanic, while taking home $1240 per month after taxes and all. Did this till I had health problems. First I started going blind. Then it progressed fast and I was diagnosed with MS. Now my 3 children's mother's get a full $844 per month per child and I still pay arrears that I don't owe, almost $1000 per month. Living off of $1048 per month and whatever I can sell from my personal property.
Don't care if people don't believe me, I know people who been dragged thru this system does because this crap exists. That is my empathy part, I know how you feel my friend.
It's not right and never will be. I bet money you live in a liberal blue state or at least a blue city. This is why things are this way.
Again... I wish you the very best my friend. Contact me anytime if it all gets to feel like too much.

@@theKashConnoisseur That is not how good business works, bud. I wish these dumb ass comments from people who never ran a business would stop. I have been self employed for 30+ years, something being "deductible" doesn't make it a good business decision. If the motor cost 10,000 and you save the taxes on it, say around $3500 for 35% tax bracket, you are still losing $6500. Losing 6500 is not good unless you find a way to make money on it, say with UA-cam views, then and only then does losing $6500 not eventually bankrupt a business.

That shop is so full of cars in various stages! Freaking awesome!
that Torqueflite needs that "kickdown" (its actually throttle pressure) if it doesnt have a full manual valvebody in it...its just like the cable on a 700R4...if you dont have the linkage, tie the lever on the
trans back atleast 3/4 to full, it will shift late automatically but it will keep the line pressure high in the trans and it will not burn up.
Definitely need to do this, the torqueflite kickdowns are necessary and can be kind of a hassle to adjust properly

I remember being most impressed when you did a (fifth gear?) Burnout in Leroy. The clutch cars, either Leroy or Neighbor I'd be intimidated by, but willing to give her hell in a burnout box.
Toast would intimidate me too much, in my experience, with clutch cars you can feel if something is breaking or going wrong through the pedals, while automatics and such just fly apart with little notice. Probably that only makes sense to an amateur like myself. But I'd be overwhelmed by toasts' deafening roar, and my inability to judge wheel speed etc. All the rpms sound the same with Toast as well haha
