I've played every need for speed since underground, And I personally think that the fact Criterion are putting in a little bit of burnout with need for speed is great. Also the graphics are incredible and there's a wide variety of things to do... What's not to like!? I say thumbs up to Most Wanted 2012! Already Pre-Ordered it:D

In my opinion (However little it is worth) I find that customization allows the player to give the car a better sense of identity. If I see a car which has been done up compared to one which is standard looking, I would value the done up car much more highly. My first Xbox game I ever played was Hot Pursuit 2, this game was amazing, but due when I played Underground 1 It felt just that much more fun to see a car where I had decided what it looked like. I have every NFS game since Hot Pursuit 2.
yeah but a good idea would be to have a char you can buy clothes for him and there are shops everywhere you walk into a shop to buy parts or what ever depending on the shop, and maybe they could show some animation when stealing a car.
as long as the new nfs feature car jacking. they sould also bring back the murcielago. that's all im asking for the 2013 nfs games which will come in the future.

Exactly what I'm always saying. The main problem is that most players are younger than NFS I, II, III - Hot Pursuit, IV - High Stakes. I had a discussion like this back in 2010 when Hot Pursuit was released. Most people didn't even knew that the original Hot Pursuit was back from 1998.

However, if there's just a bit of personalized customization (doesn't have to be super tricked out, but at the very LEAST, custom paint jobs), then is give this a 10/10. Right now it's sitting at 9.5 for me. Loving it!
Stop making the creators of the game feel bad about themselves. If you guys really think that this game needs improvements just tell them ( creators of the game) the things that need improvements.

And about night racing? Well the first gameplay trailer was in broad daylight, this one looks like dusk/dawn. And Criterion had shifting time in Hot Pursuit, so they are bound to do it here aswell.

No, they handle like hot wheels on slinky spring suspension, just look at that body roll. You can tell every time he breaths on the joy stick, the car wobbles.
Same here, it will take some getting used to finding the vehicles and just take them. I kind of enjoyed grinding for enough currency to acquire another car. Nevertheless, i cant wait for this game to come out (esp for the Ps Vita).
This new nfs may not be like nfs 3 hp or nfs 4, but somehow it brings me some memories, good ones from those games. Really looking forward to this game.

Agreed, one of the NFS factors was trying to earn enough cash to buy that car you could only see but not touch, and then evolving it into the racing machine you need to face the most wanted blacklist, this game is fun (downloaded it), but that fun isn't as fulfilling as one that comes after that "effort", it's just too gratuitous, and the thrill of the game ends when you've got the game mechanics more or less, then it becomes VERY repetitive, (and frustrating with my constant crashes) xD
Well, atleast we know where the cl 63 and ford gt will be. The driving style looks so much like hot pursuit and there's no rear view mirror at the top so peoples are'nt trying to smash you all the time. This is going to be epic. Good job once again criterion.
What made need for speed so famous was the fact that you can customize your car and change the rims, spoiler, body kit etc. yes hot pursuit was fun but when underground came out EVERYONE hopped on. Admit it without the undergrounds and the first most wanted the game wouldn't be that fun.

This is not proof of after market parts like a borla exhaust or a A&M intake. Have you played Import Tuner Challenge?, look at the customisation in that game and then get back to me and you will know what I mean by customisation.
This comment is 100% true, its not about customizing your car, its about the gameplay, and how the gameplay works, to me, this is one of the best NFS games I've ever played, and I've played UG2, Most Wanted, and Carbon.
Looks like a HD version of the 05 NFS MW! The multi player looks okay but damn I really expected more and something new from these guys by now. I know I haven't played the game yet but Im blown. I'd rather keep playing TD2 open world with in-car view and a good since of speed although the game looks cartoonish. It's a blast to play with friends on-line with bikes!
All they need to do is mix the visual and performance customization from Pro street with the open world of Most Wanted then throw in the new cars and an updated graphics engine while keeping the multiplayer. It would be a great game. I guess i will just play midnight LA some more.

I dont think there will be proper customisation like in carbon, UG1-2. The customisation will be like that in hot pursuit and the run.
Stop complaining about this game already! This is not EA Games or EA Black Box where it has the vehicle customization this is Criterion Games they are now in control of the NFS in the future. What you see is what you get when it comes to car customization in Most Wanted.

I miss Chameleon Evolved. Switching Criterion from that to Frostbite is an injustice, a big mistake. Love the glory that belongs to this masterpiece.

and also, there does not seem to be any night time racing, most street racing occurs at night.
I'm in love with this game already, I love how the important parts of the HUD are now intergrated into the car itself. Looking forward to this 1!

thats probably just a setting in the game play settings. im sure you can manually shift the car.
