- We take a look for Caucasian returns this morning and we are getting closer to Decision making time. I try to always look at every level of the Apiary and how decisions impact it's general well being and strength. Summer will be over soon and Fall is short, before I know it Winter will be here. What happens to them in winter when there aren't flowers around? Do you feed them? ☺
They go into a semi hibernative state, they don't fully hibernate like a bear but they slow way down in Winter. They eat less food and fly much less, in Winter you will about only see them fly on nice warm days to get out of the hive and💩it can be a very messy area with a few thousand bees have been stuck in for a week.
