The opening instrumental was a BREATH OF FRESH AIR! For veteran hip hop heads, you know what I mean. Just that opening alone shows that you are a veteran in the culture and have stayed true to its roots. Who is the creator of that instrumental? The fact that you choose to wear these today shows exclusivity, which is what hip hop culture is all about, not that mainstream pop nonsense that is marketed and globalized. I’m only 15 (born in ‘05). I was always a fan of pharrell’s sound ever since my older cousins introduced me to his music. Around 3 years ago I went back and listened to everything from the Neptunes and NERD. I started looking at pictures of pharrell, Wayne, Kanye, and Nigo from that era and I fell in love. Now I want a pair of Bapestas and some BBC/Ice Cream clothes so bad. Their style was unmatched!!
Edit: I’m 16 now and I finally have a thrifted BBC crewneck from like ‘06 and am looking for some baoestas or roadstas that are from before 2010 in a size 11

Damn I’ve been searching for Ice Creams for a long time... when I was a kid I could never afford them cuz I put my money into video games. But I always loved the crazy colorways that Ice Creams had. But idk if I would drop 300-600 for a pair rn
When I was a kid, I got made fun of for wearing them.....by kids who wore crocs...
For real I couldn’t afford them either as a kid but footlocker had a pair for sale at $30 and I got them even tho they were an ugly grey color and I wore them with everything no matter what 😂 definitely not dropping 3 to 600 on a pair right now haha
Crazy story.....So i use to work for a clothing company called Miskeen Originals based out of philly from 2004 to about 2011. i made dope friends while working there, they put me up on south street back in the day, so fast forward to like 2006-07, One day i cashed my check and walked to south street to do a lil clothing shopping and i noticed a reebok store and they were closing down, i walk in and they had the ice cream boutiques on the wall, some were retail and some were on sale for $200 i think, so every pay check i bought a pair for like 2 weeks straight, i went on that 3rd week to cop and the manager said we have a closing sell, All ice cream boutiques are $100 each. Blew my whole check that day. I still have my ice creams til this day. 🖖🏽💎💲

Wish I had been able to grab some pairs back in the day. I don’t like buying used shoes and any of these dead stock are worth a pretty good amount. Might just be one of those things from my childhood that I never actually get to hold. 😂 I’ll always appreciate them though. What a time.
