Miquetta & Eric's Story

Miquetta and Eric were homeless with their young son and needed time to get back on their feet and in a permanent home. Better Together connected them with a host family who volunteered to help. While the Ammirati family cared for Josiah, they kept in touch with Miquetta and Eric, sending photos and updates. The young family reunited, and now both families are stronger for their connection.
Better Together helps families in crisis by providing support, work opportunities and community. We do this with the help of background-checked volunteer host families, mentors, job coaches and resource volunteers. Together, with our partners across the state of Florida, we’re preventing the need for foster care and keeping families together.
