Yes, Selmer mouthpieces are milled from rod rubber. And yes, Vandoren mouthpieces are made from molded rubber, which is why the quality of their mouthpieces is so inconsistent.
I’m serious when I say in the video “the mouthpieces are basically the same.” They have the same specs and basically the same manufacturing process. I really can’t tell much of a difference.

Are echo mouthpieces made from rod rubber? I think Vandorens are made from molded rubber, not sure about the BD6 HD If done anything different.

I think every 3 years … but that’s me and it depends on how much you play. Those M13£ don’t last but maybe 2.
I agree! Last I checked, M13s are molded, so I assume heating the rubber adds to the wear and decreases the lifespan of the mouthpiece.
