  • Watch this clip to discover how to effectively do a trap bar deadlift. This is great variation on your standard deadlift as a easier version to work on technique before transitioning into a conventional deadlift. Because of where the weight is distributed it also places less pressure on your lower back. This is an awesome exercise to strengthen legs, glutes and the whole Posterior chain!

Whole lotta hyperextension in her back...I’m no professional but I think she may hurt herself when going heavy. She has great shape in her quads tho! Especially for her frame size

NOT "EXTENSION"! THE PROPER TERM IS "FLEXION". Look it up!

Just want to pass on my thanks. A plethora of deadlift techniques on youtube but so many just show the movement. The hints and tips :- toes up, sit back into it as if pulling on a pole, tense stomach into belt make all the difference. I now feel more set and stable in position. It is a checks list I mentally go through every set now when I step into the trap bar. Thankyou.

Good evening, I caught one of these sciatica, left leg and leg buttock, pain etc, is the trap bar good for that, because I have a trap bar like yours, and I assure you since, I have the the q in washers, I almost have to walk on all fours, the doctor says it's just the nerve, it comes from the trap bar, or car, because I'm told it could be the car, gearshift, etc., keep it up, I'll need an automatic.

Got to be careful not to go too low with the hips as the lift becomes too quad dominant and doesn't work the posterior chain like the deadlift should.

one question, should we arched our back or in a neutral spine position before going up ?

Neutral spine with your abs braced before lifting. For bracing think draw your belly button in to your spine but then push out to also lock on the outer layer of abs as if someone might punch you in the stomach. Bit confusing but I find that is the best way to explain it
