You have a college-aged daughter!? Wow! I never imagined👍🏾 I smelled the OG Olympea back when it came out and hated it. And then the Acqua version came out and loved that. Fast forward to 2022 and I smelled the OG again and I love it. I bought the légère flanker and at first that salty/nutty notes threw me off but after a month now I enjoy. The OG really is a stunner.

Omg totally agree about LVEB intensement. There's nothing to balance out the sweetness! It's just syrupy sweet and thick. It's one I've considered letting go but for now I'll just reserve it for the middle of winter. Hopefully I remember to pull it out!
It's too powdery sweet for me. The raspberry note comes off very artificial to me as well. Not a fan of Intensement, but the original and the now discontinued Intense I have always loved.
I love Kayali Lovefest too. It smells so so good 🤤 But yeah. I have to carry it around with me if I’m wearing it that day and top up every 2-3 hours. I’m going to crush my 100ml bottle in the equivalent of 2 months of regular wear.
I layer burning cherry with bath and body works bonfire bash or the new bath and body works vanilla and palo santo and burning cherry sticks to those forever. And makes the projection really good.
Wow Coco vanille was a shocker... Invite only is a strong one and I think the one of the Kayali fragrances I've seen the most people declutter. I spray Coco every time I go into store. Something stops me buying it... Maybe the same thought that I won't reach for it. Omg burning cherry 😭🤣 I've resisted buying khamrah because I think I'll hate it because it's Lattafa. Me and that brand just don't get on, the ones I've tried nearly all just smell of hairspray, bad plastic saffron, synthetic woods and ambroxan. I wish that wasn't what I smell 😂 Fab declutter.
Lattafa is really hit and Miss for me. I sometimes smell that hairspray vibe as well. My favorite from them is Ameer Al Oud. That one is really good. Coco Vanille surprised me too 😞 I used to get a creamy sweet coconut and vanilla and now all I smell is a powdery synthetic peach! 😔
Hi Jax! 👋 my nose has changed from strictly gourmand to gourmande with florals plus some straight florals. As a result, I have a huge declutter including Mercurial Cashmere . I find there's an animalic note in it that I can't tolerate. Hoping to try MFK Gentle Fluidity Gold.

I’ve never tried the original. I’ve been enjoying my decants and my fragrance journey. I recorded the notes of my all time favorites, and look for them in fragrances I’m considering. So I don’t feel that they are complete blind buys. I feel it’s a good approach for me. You definitely got me!😂😂😂
I was thinking that too! Doing my best to create interest in at least one of my 3 children, so that when I'm gone, somebody will appreciate the large collection I'm amassing 😅!

My alternate to By the Fireplace is Philosophy Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere. Same vibe but less wood smoke. More like a warm nutty vanilla.....and very affordable.
Ha. I have turned my Medetteranian Honeysuckle as my after shower scent. It's fresh and nice. I can smell it but it does have bad performance so that's where I'm at with that. And yes, Hubby and I both thought the loveliest burning cherry was lovely. But yeah, I didn't buy it because of bad performance. I'm done with bad performing scents. I don't need a huge collection. You have to be stellar and perform well for me to shell out.

Kayali Invite Only is WAY more wearable and less woody when sandwiched between layers of Eden Juicy Apple. It really takes the edge off, and you literally smell like fall. Just wanted to share because I had the same issues. Love your videos! Enjoy your day!
I also have a pretty big collection (I'd say around 120 bottles) but I do regularly declutter as well, it's completely normal and healthy! :D I tend to sometimes buy stuff on a whim and later realize that I'm not reaching for it or find out I already have something else that's similar etc. That being said after getting rid of a few fragrances of course I immediately feel obligated to get something else that I've had my eye on lol Never ending story
Yes, our preferences change with time and seasons. Sometimes I don’t want to wear certain perfumes and a couple of months later I’m craving for them. I also noticed that there are good and bad performing bottles of the same perfume. Lately I bought CM Intense and it disappears in 15 minutes! Love fest Kayali lasts on my closing forever and chocking me that’s why I hardly wear it. One time I bought Good Girl and returned it because there was no scent at all. Another time I bought it and the performance and lasting power was amazing. Go figure

I am the same way, I can't do just straight super sweet fragrances like Girl of Now or Givenchy Live Irresistible that don't have something else to ground it like woods...our noses change as we develop our collection and we want more complexity, more balance, I don't like fruity florals as much anymore, I enjoy vanillas and woody vanillas mostly, but a variety as well. Just not super syrupy cloying frags. I also am not liking the Fruit-chouli DNA anymore like Flowerbomb and La Vie Est Belle or Miss Dior 2017..they remind me of my bar hopping days

We have similar fragrance preferences & dislikes and I also live in SC. The Bright Peach smells like stinky armpits to me. I’ve tried layering it with coconut & peach forward fragrances w/no luck. I love LVEB Intensemment but the sweet is too powerful. I wear any super sweet frags with woody, oudy, patchouli or amber frags to tone them down. I don’t wear my Chanel’s because they feel too mature to me and I’m 55 so I’m officially in the old lady gang. I hold onto them because they are classics and pull them out when I want to be low key and tasteful, like if I go to a funeral. Khamrah didn’t do it for me, smells nothing like my beloved Angels Share. I use it as decorative piece instead because I like the bottle and Lovefest Burning Cherry I like but can never find a reason to wear it.

Perfumes are like boyfriends - they come and they go. Love can turn to like but you keep them around in case the love returns (Oud Satin Mood and Hermes Rouge for me). Love turns to like but you know the love won’t come back so you won’t repurchase (Gris Dior, White by Pure Distance, Coromandel and Lira for me). Then there are the current obsessions, hot like Jason Momoa - in my case ambers - smooth like Ambre Precieux and spicy like Ambre 114. I don’t care how hot it gets here in Florida, I can’t say no to Jason, I mean ambers 😊
Did you say you have 600’ish perfumes?! I always wonder what some of you ladies do for work (or husbands)! I cannot buy expensive perfumes because it’s not in our budget. But 8 love watching these videos, because you show the expen$ive fragrances, and often mention a lower cost alternative (thank you for that). I want to try Angel’s Share very badly, but if I fall in love there’s no way I could afford it anyway. Have you found a lower-cost clone (or near-clone) of it?
No, I was saying I don’t want a collection that large. I definitely do not own 600 perfumes, and I don’t want to. The idea of that stresses me out, but I know a lot of fragrance collectors who want and love to have a large collection. I have not tried any angels share dupes but I think both Julianna’s and Dua has them.
Whoah....Burberry Brit is one of my best performers and has been for a couple of years through all seasons. I love that one. Sorry your bottle is not working for you.
I was shocked when you said you were getting rid of Angel’s Share! 😂 I decluttered love fest burning cherry as it made me nauseated. I think the palo santo note just didn’t work well for me.
Oh I am sad for my Kayalis 😂😂😂😂. My scent before the video was Invite only and after the video I layered with Burning cherry. I think it’s okay to not vibe with a fragrance you once raved about. Our sense of smell is believed to change every 28 days. If we put away fragrances we are not sure about and come back to them later to find we now love and obsess over them. It’s to be expected that the opposite happens.

Khamrah was probably the worst experience I've had with a fragrance! It literally ruined other perfumes for me! The cheap gross IsoEsuper ruined it and made me literally feel gross when I smelled it. It made my stomach turn. After that I couldn't smell anything even similar for a while. Sounds dramatic but it's my truth 😂
Jax, do not declutter lovefest burning cherry! Layer it with lovely cherie from maison alhambra and the magic is going to happen! Lovefest will last at least 8h! 😊
I got rid of Olympea Intense as well. It was odd. A bit like smooth creamy nail polish remover. Similar to the smell I get in Jimmy Choos with patchouli. 😮 Also got rid of Invite Only. I never got anything good from it. Also got rid of Midnight Fantasy, a bit too cheap smelling. I got rid of Salt Air. Wasn't sure if it was Musk or those weird mineral notes but no. Also got rid of Lost Cherry. You're my decluttet twin!! Lol
It’s a shame that you have to give these disclaimers in the beginning of a declutter. I am the same way. My max is 50. Anything over 100 I have to reevaluate my collection. As a result my sister now has about 30 or 40 fragrances because of me lol. Anyways great video ❤
Mercurial Cashmere by Electimuss is a really weird one for me too. I can totally understand why you got rid of it. The most objectionable (that's the politest word I can use) fragrance which NOBODY in frag comm/UA-cam talks about is 'The Rose' by Musicology. It's...I'm going to stop now as I'll go on a rant. I'll just share my very final verdict: it smells like a failed brief for a household cleaning product, like it was a fragrance intended to scent a corrosive base (like toilet bleach or detergent to clean a high end bathroom floor). It doesn't read as a fragrance someone would volunteer to spray neat on their physical person. Why nobody talks about this monstrosity I have no idea. All I can say is that I'm glad it's not popular; smelling this on an oversprayer whilst sitting on a bus at 8am would make me heave.
@@jaxbeautifulyou It's a total mess of a fragrance and I have no idea who would wear it...perhaps the grand matriarch in an elephant family in Zimbabwe? You'd need exactly that sort of thick hide and to be spending most of your time roaming in an equally expansive, sparsely populated environment in order to even consider carrying off such an overpowering, sickly offering. Slip on your pith helmet and khakis and go hunt it down, see what YOU think. For me, it's not suitable for direct contact with human skin. It's like this fragrance was extracted from an industrial drum where it sat in this concentrated form awaiting dilution and then being used in it's final form to fragrance car parts, rubber components for toys or as carpet deodorant sold to professional cleaning firms who take care of commercial spaces like offices and hotels. Yikes indeed.

Did you say you have 600’ish perfumes?! I always wonder what some of you ladies do for work (or husbands)! I cannot buy expensive perfumes because it’s not in our budget. But 8 love watching these videos, because you show the expen$ive fragrances, and often mention a lower cost alternative (thank you for that). I want to try Angel’s Share very badly, but if I fall in love there’s no way I could afford it anyway. Have you found a lower-cost clone (or near-clone) of it?
No, I was saying I don’t want a collection that large. I definitely do not own 600 perfumes, and I don’t want to. The idea of that stresses me out, but I know a lot of fragrance collectors who want and love to have a large collection. I have not tried any angels share dupes but I think both Julianna’s and Dua has them.

I think it’s okay to not vibe with a fragrance you once raved about. Our sense of smell is believed to change every 28 days.
If we put away fragrances we are not sure about and come back to them later to find we now love and obsess over them. It’s to be expected that the opposite happens.

Khamrah was probably the worst experience I've had with a fragrance! It literally ruined other perfumes for me! The cheap gross IsoEsuper ruined it and made me literally feel gross when I smelled it. It made my stomach turn. After that I couldn't smell anything even similar for a while. Sounds dramatic but it's my truth 😂

Ok I took Lovefest off of my Mercari, and decided to give this a try!
I got rid of Olympea Intense as well. It was odd. A bit like smooth creamy nail polish remover. Similar to the smell I get in Jimmy Choos with patchouli. 😮
Also got rid of Invite Only. I never got anything good from it.
Also got rid of Midnight Fantasy, a bit too cheap smelling.
I got rid of Salt Air. Wasn't sure if it was Musk or those weird mineral notes but no.
Also got rid of Lost Cherry.

It’s a shame that you have to give these disclaimers in the beginning of a declutter. I am the same way. My max is 50. Anything over 100 I have to reevaluate my collection. As a result my sister now has about 30 or 40 fragrances because of me lol.

Mercurial Cashmere by Electimuss is a really weird one for me too. I can totally understand why you got rid of it. The most objectionable (that's the politest word I can use) fragrance which NOBODY in frag comm/UA-cam talks about is 'The Rose' by Musicology. It's...I'm going to stop now as I'll go on a rant. I'll just share my very final verdict: it smells like a failed brief for a household cleaning product, like it was a fragrance intended to scent a corrosive base (like toilet bleach or detergent to clean a high end bathroom floor). It doesn't read as a fragrance someone would volunteer to spray neat on their physical person. Why nobody talks about this monstrosity I have no idea. All I can say is that I'm glad it's not popular; smelling this on an oversprayer whilst sitting on a bus at 8am would make me heave.

@@jaxbeautifulyou It's a total mess of a fragrance and I have no idea who would wear it...perhaps the grand matriarch in an elephant family in Zimbabwe? You'd need exactly that sort of thick hide and to be spending most of your time roaming in an equally expansive, sparsely populated environment in order to even consider carrying off such an overpowering, sickly offering. Slip on your pith helmet and khakis and go hunt it down, see what YOU think. For me, it's not suitable for direct contact with human skin. It's like this fragrance was extracted from an industrial drum where it sat in this concentrated form awaiting dilution and then being used in it's final form to fragrance car parts, rubber components for toys or as carpet deodorant sold to professional cleaning firms who take care of commercial spaces like offices and hotels. Yikes indeed.
