Two of Australia's best! Would love you to analyse some John Farnham if you haven't already. His performance in the Gethsemane scene of Jesus Christ Superstar is unbelievable. A very different singer from Guy, but IMO the finest male singer of the late 20th-early 21st centuries.
Definitely a great singer. But also, true that they are very different singers. Guy has it with versatility (soul, to pop, to R and B, and pretty much everything in between) and his INCREDIBLE (world class) writing. His lyrics and composition should be on the world stage, along with his vocals. But John has it with the earth-shattering clarity of his voice... The Voice being the perfect example of this. And, yes, I actually saw him in Jesus Christ Superstar. He was outstanding.

I think you're right about it being not a very rehearsed performance - which of course highlights how strong their musicianship is because as a listener I felt incredibly safe that whatever they produced on the fly would sound amazing. The holy graal of male singers is and forever will be, John farnham. Guy sebastian can cary on his legacy. One of John farnhams best vocal performence is from a show called the last time and Its from 2003. The song is called when the war is over. Please react to that song. You will not be disapointed. It shows his unbelivable vocal range. He is still an amazing singer at the age of 72. This was really good to.👍👍👍👍

Thank you. From someone with no real musical talent or skill (that's me), it amazes me how someone can hear a complex grouping of notes and then replay it perfectly with an instrument and/or their voice (that being your good self). It's great to hear. Guy and Keith were good too :) . Cheers.

Just a little background on Guy, before he won Australian Idol over 20years ago he was a vocal coach, teaching children(and adults) to sing and he also sung in his church choir when he was growing up. Now of course he is Australia's darling, writing and singing some of the most beautiful songs. And he is also a judge on The Voice Australia. God blessed him with an amazing talent.

@Nina Schofield they are indeed and the nicest guys. Guy gave my daughter a photographer pass to one of his shows to do official photos for him and after the show, he met up with us and wrote a note for her teacher saying excuse her if she's late or tired in class, she was up late shooting his concert. For my 30th birthday I ordered a custom guitar like the one keith is playing in this video. Maton made it wrong so instead of making me wait to build another, keith sent me one they made for him.
