When you left your first spot with little tide movement, (searching for moving water), did you move in the direction of the river? Assuming the water will start moving there sooner?
No river runs through the Biloxi Marsh, unless you're referring to the Pearl River, which I did not run towards. But you are on the correct train of thought: Yes, I indeed ran towards where water would begin moving sooner.
I see that you're a member of LAFB Elite, so you may have already reviewed it, but my Mastering The Tide course covers all this in detail. Find it here: www.lafbelite.com/course/mastering-the-tide/ IIRC there's some good discussion in the comments as well, but I could be thinking of a different course. Thanks for watching!
@@LAFishBlog I was referring to in the video when you said “The tide closer to the Mississippi sound is going to be moving sooner”. I’ll go check up on mastering the tide. Appreciate the info
Thanks for the tips I have a brother lives in new Orleans just got a boat and learning the Louisiana water so we just went on a trip and didn't catch nothing but a couple of cats but the water was really rough do that matters

Ill say it again. Highest quality fishing videos in Louisiana. I'm actually going to shell beach tomorrow. Unfortunately, tide will be one of those wonky rise and fall and rise and wind will be pushing water into the marsh but Im off work so im going.
Hey Devin, been meaning to tell you that the depth of field (f stop aperture) in your intros as well as exposure and color is really good man. You can tell you've been focusing on framing, color and exposure, great work bro.
Hey man I can’t wait to get out there after watching your videos lol quick question when you go to the Biloxi marsh where do you launch? Hopedale? Chef?
Great question. It depends on the wind. If it lays down I can launch from Rigolets Marina and run across Lake Borgne. Or Southshore Marina. Or Campo's Marina if the wind is bad. It really depends on you and your needs.
Yes, I have, but mostly for redfish. However, I still fish any area based upon the conditions and that's what I teach inside Fall Fish Location. Take Fall Fish Location (it's free) and you'll know exactly where it is you need to start looking: www.lafbelite.com/course/easily-locate-speckled-trout-redfish-during-the-fall-pattern/
Hey Vern, great question. Though it's unlisted now, I did make this video giving a tour of my boat. Check it out: ua-cam.com/video/nQLX9k--ZEs/v-deo.html Thanks for watching!
Just curious, How many times have you had a KEEPER & a throwback, one in each hand, then you REALIZE, the oh no moment, you threw back the WRONG one? Anyone who has been in that predicament has had the slip of the brain, wrong signal to the hand and as the fish is in mid stride of its return, the brain says, “LOL, you freaking idiot, that was supposed to be the OTHER HAND!!” Good to see you have been able to make it back out on some good feeding grounds! Good box for sure!!!
I have done that more than once, and probably will more often as I get older. LOL It didn't happen on this trip but if it did I would've included it. Thanks for watching!

Lookin' good Devin! What knot do you use to connect to the double rig loop?
Just a simple improved clinch.

An improved cinch for Braid to mono/fluro loop?
Yes.
Thanks again Devin for a great video, take care.
Devin, where do you launch from to get to the Biloxi marsh? Campos, rigolets, hopedale?
Just depends on what's going on. I have launched from all three locations you mentioned to fish the Biloxi Marsh.
Skip, you still planning a Veterans Day fishing trip. One vet to another see you out there
I really don't know. Tight lines and thanks for watching.

I think the east side of the river was more shielded than the west.
