you are singlehandedly convincing me that i need to give miranda july another chance
omg wait did i miss out on the Cass-lore with Miranda July?! what have you tried out by her?
august blue will probably be my next levy so i’m not sure what it’s like specifically but i think you’ll really enjoy her work!!
omg buddy read?? 🥹👉🏼👈🏼 would love to do my first Levy with you!
Damn it Nathan, now I have a book-buying itch that needs scratching.
we are at the height of capitalism i say GO ALL OUT 🤑
@@nathansnook 😂 Buy books like there's no tomorrow.
I still haven’t read any joy williams but ive been collecting them whenever i see them purely for those 80s style vintage contemporaries covers that katie merchant posts all the time glorifying them and making for a random thirst of mine
it's such a good THIRST! on the hunt for them with you
you picked well! I'm still reading alphabetical diaries, taking it very slowly but enjoying it
ahhh so good! i will do the same soon! i think i moved too quickly the first time around. will complete it within 26 days for my rereading!
me 🤝 Nathan ...buying over 15 books during our recent trips
+ I've been sooooo curious about miranda July!!! I recently put in a hold for 'the first bad man' on libby!!! excited!!!!
it’s an odd one! it definitely feels like the YA version of All Fours, though it’s still worth a read! hope you enjoy it! and would love to know your thoughts on it!
@@nathansnook ooouuuu???! i’m intrigued hahaha and definitely! if it’s not in a reading vlog, i’ll def talk about it over on my bookstagram :)
Excited for your thoughts on these!! ❤
can’t wait to get to the Lutz, especially king!!! ✨👑
hot hot hot stack of books x
keepin it hot n sexy as always bb!
Also ooooo so close to 3k!!!
we gettin close bb!
I had the biggest crush on Jean-Paul Belmondo after watching Pierrot le Fou lol
SAME! literally ran to the rest of his filmography after Pierrot. love him in Breathless!
i know nothing about cinema. can you recommend a few good places to start?
if you send me titles of books you like perhaps i can recommend some movies with similar vibes/plots !
@@nathansnook of course! lately i’ve been reading a lot of bataille and rimbaud, aside from authors from the decadent movement in general. one of my favorite books is notes from the underground. i like japanese classics in general (mishima, akutagawa, oe, abe, dazai) but yuko tsushima’s unsentimental approach to grief always has me speechless. i’d say some of my favorite themes in fiction are death, surrealism, sexuality, memory, trauma, existentialism, satanism, grief, and queerness. the more brutal, the better, but not in a boring melodramatic way
@@embalmingfluids oh my god with this exquisite reading taste, i have the director for you: Gaspar Noe. i think THE film you have to watch by him is Enter the Void. deals with all of the above tbh!!! you will feel so queasy!
