I disagree. The Big Choice version of Disconnected is better. That guitar tone is so good!!!! I hope you break down all the f2f albums. How was it working with Jim Goodwin? He recorded my bands album, I think it was the last one he ever did.

Somewhere around 95 or 96, I saw Face to Face at the Ventura Theater in Ventura. The best sounding show I have ever been to. They sounded just like the CDs. Yes, I still buy CDs!

Don't Turn Away's version is the one I always picture.

I’m in the minority on this but my belief has always been that the Big Choice version of Disconnected is the best recorded version of the song. It’s faster but sounds a lot bigger than the previous versions and the song sonically has the space for that faster tempo. Ironically the band plays the song live closer to the tempo of this version. I find it in all ways superior to the others

I've been telling people since 1996 that the skit on Disconnected was real bc when I met Matt he told he told me it totally was a conversation they hit record on in the studio. Haha. Gullible kid I was I guess. He was playing in Pulley then and we did a show with Pulley and Strung Out for my college radio station. It was pre-internet days and I'd never gotten to see f2f so I didn't even know he had been in f2f until we started talking and he mentioned his old band. I was like oh what was your old band and when he said f2f I totally fan boy'd out bc Don't Turn Away is one of my all-time favorite albums ever. The third album had either recently come out or I had gotten a promo of it and I was set to finally see f2f 2 weeks later for the s/t tour -- and they were great, but was always bummed I didn't get to see original or Big Choice lineup.

yeah I also like the Big Choice version better. Maybe thats cuz I heard it before the other two. Same way guys say the Don't turn away version is the best cuz its when they actually wrote it, there gotta be emotions involved and all that stuff

The "Over It" version of DISCONNECTED is the best one by a mile!

The version on Over It was my introduction to the song. That will always be my favorite version, even though I do agree that the one on Don’t Turn Away is better.

I remember them mentioning the Gaza X story on one of the docs. Years later I was watching the Germs movie and the actor playing Pat Smear mentioned borrowing Gaza's guitar.
