Awesome truck! Rlaarlo was very communicative during the process and responded to any emails I had within 48 hrs. Hope lots of aftermarket parts become available but I am more than happy to keep it stock!
It really needs a Hobbywing 880 4S brushed ESC.!! For the £500 price I'm disappointed to see that it's not 4S capable... if it wants to compete against other large scale trail trucks it really should be in my opinion.! Those 880's are AWESOME btw.!!!😉.!! A rig that size really needs to have some speed, it's not a dedicated rock crawler (which is the only excuse to be slow) it's a trail truck.!!! My 1/8th scale Traction Hobby Cragsman Jeep & Absima Bronx (Yikong Bronco) both do between 20 to 25 mph on 4S, (with larger than stock pinions) they also crawl great.! They're not an awful heck of a lot smaller than this rig & cost around the same. (the TH Cragsman is £550 (it's got metal axles too) & the Yikong Bronco can be found for just over £400 on Aliexpress, £500 for the Absima version from a hobby shop) I've owned both for a long time now, I've used them often & I've definitely used them hard.!!... they've proven to be extremely durable rigs with very few breakages that I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.!!! I believe I'd recommend them over this, for a number of reasons.. If I'm being brutally honest, from what I've seen... I have concerns with this particular rig... I was eagerly waiting for it to come onto the market, but I think I'll be passing on this one. Great review though, as always.!! Please stay safe out there mate & the very best wishes from Scotland 🏴 🙏 ❤️ 📻 🕹️ 🔋 🚗 🚖 🚕 🚔 🚚 🚙 🚘 🚓 🚒 🚑 🚐 🚎 🚤 🚁 🛩️ 👍 👍 👍
You always do such great videos. It looks like a pain in the butt to change out the pinion. I do like how well it walked over the logs and plowed though the heavy brush. Awesome !!!
Hello sir after you change the pinion to 16t did you experience some delay of response of the throttle.because mine i do.if yes how did you fix it.thank you.good day
I don’t believe I had a delay. I remember being rather surprised that it still worked so well actually. I would double check the gear mesh and make sure it’s not too tight.
This video or the dinosaur chase video 😆? Super cool and glad he liked it! The truck is awesome! (Using my link in the video description is super helpful to us and does not cost extra, so if you can, we appreciate it!) Thanks!!!😃
I'm only just getting into the sport I have a busted old SCX10 I keep having to rig back together each run 😄 he loves it though. Soon as I get a job after all bills are paid I'm going to a hobby shop or ordering one I have to haha 😁👍
I told them I’d be interested in installing the brushless kit on my current one and didn’t get an answer, but there were other questions in that same message so it could have been missed. I’m going to ask again. Haven’t even heard if I’m getting the new rally car and now that it’s already been revealed, I’m gonna guess I’m not lol. They might be upset over my ROG1 review. Free car doesn’t bias my review and they’ve always known that. I am supposed to be getting the upgrade ROG1 parts once available. Long winded answer for not completely sure yet 😂
@@DerbyCityRC from what I’ve read it’s more than a upgraded motor. Upgraded drivetrain and parts too. “The pinion gear [will be ] a 15T, the spur gear is upgraded to 35T, and the 36T differential gear along with the 11T output gear have been upgraded to chrome steel” 140 amp sensored 4s capable esc with app, supposed to run quieter and certainly faster. Servo linkage changed, Motor is bigger and KV higher at 2200 vs MJX 1500. MK07 still weighs twice as much and was already priced high. I hope you can get a new brushless one to do a comparison with brushed version and head to head with h8h. Rally car looks awesome too. Love your hard work. Congrats on 20k btw.
@Nutz_forRCs ya I saw there were more updates than the electronics last night. I very much doubt they will send it, but I’m gonna try lol. The heavy weight gives it awesome crawl capabilities for sure. Plus they now sell brass axle housings and other accessories to make it even heavier. Thanks, really appreciate that!!
I do think that I would choose the brass weights over the armor set, but if you can try to be one of the first 30 orders, the armor set comes free anyway. I believe certain 2.2s will fit, but probably not all of them.
@@DerbyCityRCjust bought right after they went live using your link! Hopefully there becomes some decent aftermarket but I’ll also be happy keeping it stock!
@aknorthroader1 I know! Atleast they’re being honest! Not too surprising at that price point and how heavy and big it is. Hopefully quicker for you over yonder!!!
This is another great video. I am sure people who buy one of these will find your pinion test very useful. Your son did a great job driving it. When you look at prices this is a 1/7 scale for about half the price of an Axial 1/6 scale and a little more than a TRX4 with less options.
@@DerbyCityRC I just watched tip from a long time UA-camr. To improve the steering. You have to go into the transmitter menu to servo and change the steering angle from 90 to 180 and then your end points.
@michaeldorich4485 I actually tried that. Going to 180° scared me a little. I think that will kill the servo pretty quick. I set my endpoints from 70° to 90° at the end of my first video though. Made a big difference but that almost maxed out the mechanical limits of the steering linkage right there. It may be fine it just seems like the 180 didn’t get it any further due to the mechanical limits 😃
I’ll say I’ve heard less complaints lately lol They’ve also been vocal about making improvements, like not doing the pre orders this time, being more clear on the time it takes to ship from China, and even improving the materials on the drive cups of the Omni Terminator, as that seemed to be the biggest complaint they got. They’ve been interacting and responding quicker. From what I’ve seen, they’re working on it. Definitely want to hear from others experiences.

If I remember correctly it came with a 14T
