- The lunch lady is here today and she's serving foods from USA, Korea, Italy, Brazil, France, Spain, Ukraine, Finland, Greece and UK. I'm rating the lunches from these places, the reference material was a random website when I Googled "lunches around the world", so don't worry, I don't believe these lunches are an overall reflection of the quality of cuisine in each country. It's just a fun challenge within the limited context of the video! Let me know what countries I should try next!

The saddest part is that the American food gloom was served is way better than we actually get served.
Thats what I was thinking. I feel like that's not an accurate representation of American lunch at least where I live.
Exactly- They only give us like BARELY COOKED NUGGETS, mashed peas, and a fruit cup which is the only okay thing in the lunch- 🙃

They give fake chicken, these beans that are soggy, rotten tomatoes, and one time the fruit cups where expired, and the food is always cold.
@@olive_of_the_oil that’s what y’all get?! We get some sh!tty salad with one single tomato- it’s dry af- with some really bad pizza- it’s like plastic- I’m in middle school.
Fun Fact!!! In France, kids in school will have an hour to eat because they take it as a class. They would have a four course meal as well as them choosing a cheese and a desert. They are trusted with glass. They get their food brought to them. The older kids sereve and pour water out of this big jug you would see in a fancy restaurant. These are like kindergartners FYI.

As someone who lives in America, the food they serve us at lunch is half-cooked pizza, soggy chicken nuggets or stiff breadsticks with apple slices and milk. that's all ya get at my school :)

I’m Italian. However, I live in America and I was SO IMPRESSED with the Italian meal. I really love my culture and it made me happy to see a lot of the foods I’ve been growing up with included here. Love you Kassie!

Not hating on gloom but the uk meal the only thing that was a irate was the Brussels sprouts we do have fish cakes but the inside is creamy fish and our coleslaw is got thicker prices of veg
And our yoghurt was always a very sour berry flavour with no fruit on top also we had little rice * this is from my personal experience *

Its interesting as an American seeing so many vegetarian lunches because usually in America you have to specifically look for vegetarian options because every dish tends to have some kind of meat in it.
I also noticed that almost every meal had a bread roll.

That pink burger is not a burger though I can’t say that because my school lunches are something else. There’s something called Chefs special which is basically leftovers the kitchen had. They never fooled us with the “Chef’s special “😂

Wait...aren't all public schools free? I live in georgia🇬🇪 and it's free here (we don't even get lunch but you can buy snacks in the Cafeteria between classes lol, not healthy at all)
They're usually included in the tuition fees if you're not paying upfront cause its more convenient and it won't be stolen :>

19:31 we do not eat this in the UK for school lunches depends if you’re in primary or secondary but don’t eat that in primary school and I don’t I think they eat fish cake in secondary school

Has anyone noticed how big&handsome Anjing is getting. He's gotten so much older already for I think still being considered a puppy. He's got such predominate features that r so striking. And he's such a cutie and so regal with kassie and Terry. It's just beautiful to see all the love they all have with one another. I do wish twinks was still with us and could enjoy he's family a little longer. But he it was his little time in the doggie sky. Love u all. ❤ loved the video kassie :)

I have had purple meat in my burgers and kids have found mold in their milk and one kid had a horse fly in theirs! I also was told by a teacher not to worry about it when something was off about my orange! (I eat them whole because they are the small ones) I opened it up to see it was molding! I wish I got the stuff in the video.

I'm from the USA (Virginia) and we have tons of different foods. My top two school lunches are buffalo chicken dip and tacos. Both come with chips, fruit, and vegetables

As a Korean I might say the food she had was a little different we actually have creamy savory soup with radish or kimchi with meat and rice. Most Korean schools have healthy foods because sweet foods are pretty rare in a Korean cafeteria. And we do have dessert on special occasions like kids day (어린이 날) or just special days

As someone who goes to school in France I can confirm that the french lunch is overall correct but the cheese would be much smaller and the roast beef would be occasional it would usually be chicken leg instead

Man in the UK where i live the school lunches are much better than what was served on the video. We would get cheese cake as desert, on a specific day we would get a roast dinner for lunch. I'm saying this in the nicest way possible. Also thanks for being respectful to the food we sometimes get served around the UK. And credits for the person that made those lunches.
In my highschool years, we had eggrolls, icecream bars with stuffed crust Buffalo chicken pizza on some days along with cheese and steak tiquitos with queso Blanco, some frozen lemon berry juice cups and grilled snow peas stuffed with ricotta cheese
Standard uk packed lunch:
Ham/egg sandwich
Yoghurt tube
String cheese
Animal biscuits (or cookies if your american)/freddo
Apple/banana
Cucumber sticks
Mini cheddars
Either that or cold plain pasta with a fruit shoot.

today for lunch we had nachos, with a thin layer of cheese membrane on top of the cheese, then with some stale hand bagged chips and some rubbery ground beef. Our sides for today were crusted over the top refried beans, and you could choose a wilted side salad, rotten apples, not ripe fruit, or the sugary rotten peaches. and don’t forget the juice in a cup that you can only get on tuesdays and thursdays, or y’know if you’re feeling risky go for the chunky milk.
i am half brazilian and that dish just spoke out to me because it just resembled my parent's faverote food

The Finland crepe is not actually a crepe I think it’s just a pancake, a lot of countries in Europe eat thin pancakes :)
Yeah in Latvia we only have crepe thickness pancakes! We usually call the thin ones hunger pancakes and the little bit ticker ones regular pancakes

I think it’s more of like a primary school meal for the UK wait it’s something that is normally served the day before they get the food deliveries like you’ve got a bit of your fruit a bit of your yoghurt or ice cream rice peas and then you get me get the fishcakes but they taste horrible

I’m from the uk and I say that that lunch is spot on. We wouldn’t get it for lunch at school though but we still would get that but just not in school
The entire time she was eating the stuffed grape leaves, I was screaming " GIVE THEM TO ME!!!" I love those things! One of my favorite things about Greek food, hands down.

My French teacher in high school said that people in France take their school lunches very seriously, like the kids would get different courses with soup and dessert and stuff, and everything would be made from fresh ingredients because it was cheaper. I don't remember exactly what she said but that's what I understood from it lol. I think it's really cool.
Yea no the school food in America is way worse than what she got. Examples: the fruit isn’t those fancy fruit cups it’s regular fruit with holes and dents in it, the chicken is probably raw, you don’t get cookies, and half of the time the milk is spoiled…
(Ps, this is now always but everyday you have to check if it’s raw or if the milk is spoiled)

Most people in Spain actually go home for lunch so it’s quite rare they serve lunch at school. Also Spain is a very hot country so it makes sense as to why the food they do serve is so light.

As a Brazilian, I can say arroz com feijão which is rice and beans is the best thing you can eat when you go to Brazil or Portugal leitão which is pig is a highly recommended dish. It’s amazing you just gotta go to the right place.
The Finland crepe is actually a pancake, in Sweden and Finland we have thin pancakes. In Sweden we call it Pannkaka

Me as a Korean in Australia: bring your lunch from home :D I usually throw in a sanga, chips and fruit if I'm in a rush OR get really yummy food from home eg I often get 김밥 (gimbap), 볶음밥 (fried rice), 찐빵 (steamed buns), 카레 (curry) or 만두 (dumplings) for lunch and fruit/veggies and a bikkie for recess lol

I have got to say, I’d be esthetic every other Friday at my school just WAITING until we got to have chicken nuggets! But now I’m older and pack my lunch so I don’t get so excited to have soggy chicken nuggets and a chocolate milk carton that tastes like paper, the nostalgia is real. 😂
I remember in primary school (in England) we only had two different meals, tomato sauce and pasta mixed together, and a baked potato, no seasoning, no beans, just a potato. And a biscuit on the side you would hack at with a knife just to get a crumb that won't break your teeth ... or use it as a frisbee lol

i remember in primary school (in england) we would always have potatoes either with beans ,cheese or tuna my school would also have other foods like rice and curry or pasta and tomato sauce with meatballs and other stuff it might be different for different areas of england or schools
In my primary it was the same but when I went to juniors (year 3 to year 6) we had different food everyday for example one day a week we would have mashed potatoes, gravy, sausages, peas and carrots and bread then as a pudding we would have apple crumble and another day we could have colliflower cheese
Rn they do fish and chips on Friday
it was in Cov, also once one of the dinner lady was racist (not on purpose though, they were confused)
