I appreciate this young man. Lord, please keep him steadfast and focused ONLY on YOU, Lord. Great interview. Honestly, as it played, I became a bit saddened by a few things, but not the guest, again, he was a great!
First, I kept wondering if he would be interviewed on that couch if he became a physicist with his hard earned degree. And because this type of platform is often only reserved for “performers” in artistic disciplines, why are people who share their musical abilities, especially in church settings, so esteemed and exonerated in a religious belief that follows a Savior who gave up himself? Did Jesus sign autographs or did he silence the devils that tried to spread his fame?
The other thing is when people call a worship song “a hit.” What qualifies a song as a “hit” when that song’s purpose is to lead people into the Lord’s presence?
Maybe we could forget the sales aspect when ministering for the Lord, especially if you are striving to exalt the Lord with the gift he gave his fearfully and wonderfully made people, so they can be the well crafted workmanship he designed (Ephesians 2:10).
Once we are following the Lord’s guidance, and if the Lord then uses the song or gift to provide for the writer or those who sing the song, then that person merely thanks the Lord for the provision BUT also asks the Lord how HE WANTS them to use the provision HE has provided.

I work outside SA but I'd love to attend an event where Sbu would be singing one day. I love the song ya Hallelujah Nkateko, it was an opening song on the day of my wedding.
