If Hassan and Hussein (r.a.) wore them as little babies, obviously, they were too little to read. How can this speaker then claim it is the equivalent of wearing panadol around your neck and even worse 'minor shirk'? Obviously there is benefit even if you don't read them, otherwise the Prophet (saw) wouldn't have approved of it.
These are superstitions among Muslims and not in Islam.
Such superstitions are not present in Qur'an and Sunnah.
