Hi Oc. Thank you for the video. I am new to the refrigeration. Could you advise why reach in coolers and undercounter coolers use coil sensing thermostats while many others like display coolers or walkin coolers use air sensing thermostats? Why not mount sensors to the coils as in reach in coolers? One customer had frozen display cooler (fans running, evap coil is clean) with timed defrost. With timed defrost I will either over defrost it or underdefrost it but if I mount the sensor on the coil with 35-36 cutin. What can go wrong? Thank you.
Yes , You are correct everything would be better if Evaporator temperature sensing was used everywhere. i don't know why it's not done. You can do it on everything. cut in at 39. cut out at what ever evap temperature is required for 35 degrees. it can be as low as 11 degrees on some units. its definitely a better way to go in my opinion too. no defrost clock needed. better temperature control. Probably not done because it's just easier to set a control to 35 and walk away. Other way you have to stay and find the Evaporator temp that = 35 degrees then set control at that. or You can just start with 25 degrees and see what box temp is then subtract 1 degree for every degree cooler u want the box. Prep. tables have to do it the better way because thier is so much air infiltration from many door openings & open top with containers.
What does it mean if “non” notification on the display is shown constantly? The controller will display “non” if the temperature sensor to display is not configured under SxC and SxA. For example, if the temperature to display (trS) is selected as “SCO” and if SCO is not configured to any of the inputs (S1, S2,..S4), the controller will display “non”. Also if SCO is configured, but the input configuration (SxC) is not selected correctly for that input, the same error message will be displayed. You need to ensure that the selected display sensor is correctly configured under input configuration and input application in the assignment menu group. www.danfoss.com/en/service-and-support/fix-and-troubleshooting/cooling-installer-hub/electronic-controllers-services-faqs/commercial-refrigeration-controllers-faq/#:~:text=What%20does%20it%20mean%20if,(S1%2C%20S2%2C..

Please help on how set the temperature as my controller stay on 23cel. It won't change if I did. Please help me, your video was helpful but I can figure it out
1) Hit arrow buttons up or down to desired set temperature. ( upper right button - to increase temperature ) ( Lower Right Button to Decrease temperature ) 2) Then hit Power button ( Lower Left Button ) immediately which will Set the New Temperature inside the control. The Power Button is also known as the " Set button or " Ok " Button. Watch video again , it is very well explained.

No. you will adjust the offset u want. if the display is reading 32 and u want it to say 34. you would " up arrow " + 2.0 degrees. You can offset 18 degrees in either direction to allow for calibration of thermistor.
