This is such a nice system, I geek out on audio stuff, I can sit and listen for hours trying different songs. I have a friend who is a professional sound guy and he has a warehouse where he works that he has a jam area set up where we go and play, anyway he has pro audio speakers set up, it was 4 15in subs running on like 1800 watts or something like that, the whole warehouse was shaking and rattling, things falling off desks and crap, we hooked up the bass and guitars through them and it was just a wall of sound, it's totally different when you hear it in person, it's an entire experience.
Nah, thats a myth. You dont hear a difference of 1000 to 1200 watt amp power. when the higher rated amp is clipping its even worse. with a higher rated amp you need a rms AND a peak limiter. for a lower rated one you only need a peak limiter.
As i said, its a myth. If you need to Run your speakers at the limit your speakers Are du small. Its just stupid to compensate that with more amp Power.
Pointless argument as I know it is not a myth. Talk to any experienced Pro Audio guy and they will agree with me on having headroom in terms of power. Peace
its aboud the sound quality of the bass, if you amp is tho low on power then you subs produse les Cleaner & les louder bass if its klipping then whit a higher rated amp
I know this video is already two years old but I remember having a 400 watt 15" pro audio subwoofer and I accidently put almost 1000 into it did I smell it Oh hell yea I did I had no clue how powerful my amplifier was it was only half way up it's one of those Crown k2 amps it was given to me with problems smh only two problems one the internal capacitor was blown to bits all over the inside sorting things out, 2nd problem was channel 1 was blown the first was easy to fix but the second took me a while to figure out and yes I figured out how to fix it the right way after I tested it and it was working correctly I went out and bought a pro audio 15" subwoofer driver and thrown it in a car audio box that was only the slightest too big but I added to stuff to make up for the size inside the box so after that it was good I got a box that was tuned to 43hz. I then turned it up a little to kinda get the woofer broken in some for a couple hours playing some good heavy 29 and 30hz bass then after that I grabbed some regular music Rock, hard rock, metal and cranked that mofo there really was 1000 clean watts into a 400 watt RMS driver funny it lasted 1 minute before I smelled it really badly and turned my shit off I got scared maybe I could have killed it but I think I was still good coil looked fine so I kept going but at a much lower volume.
Hi Jack. I have been looking everywhere for the song that starts at 2:00 and had the mic clipping. Can I please have its name? Thank you and have a great day
You are funny. Bass does NOT damage your ears. Everything else is what can damage your ear. Look at people who have been doing car audio with over 130+ decibels they still have good hearing.
What is the power rating on the 18's? I have six 18's and they take 800 watts RMS and 1600 watts peak each and they slam. Those look like older JBLs to me
The car audio stuff on Steve Meade/John Price/Exo is much louder than these speakers but you can't tell because on the camera it all sounds like fart. The PA subwoofers are more economical on power up to their limits, although the enclosures take up more space for the output. If you have limited space go car sub, and limited power go PA sub. Plus there are 4 of them, so that helps. I have dual Eminence 12" pro audio subwoofers and the only difference is that I have increased mic headroom to record without clipping my sound system at full tilt. The drivers have 9 mm linear Xmax and I think the limit to damage is 14 mm one way, so they are quite capable for 12" drivers. Though car audio subs by Sundown can move further, they are less efficient and need smaller boxes to not be one note wonders. With 600 watts of power, the Eminence drivers are louder, although the Sundown would likely draw more power from the amp due to being 4 or 2 ohms. The exception is if you put the car sub in a folded horn.
Well I do still use them but not with this system, you can't hear them over the 18s at all, all they do is cause phase issues, I just use them for gigs!
the reason the voltage drops is long an complicated, so is the reason that when your voltage drops, your neibors dosent. if i try and simplify it, basicly the house or building has a power supply, and it can only supply so much power before it starts to struggle. if you want to see this, then try turning on a high power load such as a vaccum cleaner, microwave, electric heater, etc. it just has to pull about 750 watts or more. and then you can watch as your lights dim way the fuck down.

95TurboSol I’m the same way with audio stuff and cars stuff
95TurboSol I was wondering how many watts for your entire system
I hate about 1800 on 1 10 and 2 8s
I miss this system so much!!!!
Yeah me too but I really like the 4 18 they look nice they sound pretty good 👍
I live in Hungary, but I sure that if we point a date, and I open my windows, and you hit the volume, I will hear you :D
Az ellenkező oldalról is áthallik XDDDDD
Lol haha that made me laugh :P :D
"18 are not as powerful as the amp" That is a good thing! Nothing worse than sending clipped signal to your speakers! #Headroomcity
Nah, thats a myth. You dont hear a difference of 1000 to 1200 watt amp power. when the higher rated amp is clipping its even worse. with a higher rated amp you need a rms AND a peak limiter. for a lower rated one you only need a peak limiter.
It is more difficult to clip a higher power amp as before you clip the amp the subwoofers would reach their mechanical limits.
As i said, its a myth. If you need to Run your speakers at the limit your speakers Are du small. Its just stupid to compensate that with more amp Power.

I’m getting a 800 watt sub and 2-800 watt speakers soon but there’s a problem...my amp is only 320 watts and my amp would make a clipped signal
I wish I could come over but I don't have the money to travel
Hi Jack. I have been looking everywhere for the song that starts at 2:00 and had the mic clipping. Can I please have its name? Thank you and have a great day

Your subs are so powerfull📢📣
True
should do wiz khalifa on my level on that system.
I use this video to blow speakers and it don't blow until the amps clip😂😂😂
Who watching this in 2021?🤚
9:50 looks like smoke is coming out!!!!!
so these are pa speakers and subwoofers?
One of my friends dads had 32 18s on a wall in his garage and it hit 174db on 2000w per sub on 1000w subs for like 5 seconds
It is tuned to 28Hz and it set his car alarm off at 55Hz
The software he is using is called Musicbee it is a free pc music player and it is compact and very optimised.
What does the software do?
love you
How much watts do you have on your subwoofers?
160000W
What are the speakers called?
arent them sold today to this day?
Are those 18"s in the correct airspace? They look like they would suffer low end a lot. Especially being musical instrument drivers.
Dev Everything under the speakers there is a long strip of empty because that is the air intake so you don't have to worry about it
Air intake lol? I think you mean duct and actually that cuts the usable airspace down even further.
well ok i think that air intake is the same thing as a duct i don't know though
Dev Everything there called ports
yeah the boxes looked about half the size they needed to be
What is the name of the last song?
How do you earn money for all the equipment?
justdoit440 youtube
Playlist plase :)
Need to get get 4 skar evl 18s
You definitely don't need that much speaker volume in a room that small for good sound. You're probably just causing hearing damage
You are funny. Bass does NOT damage your ears. Everything else is what can damage your ear. Look at people who have been doing car audio with over 130+ decibels they still have good hearing.
thats cause there prob still young , go see them when they get older and are deaf at 50
I suggest you look up Steve Meade :) He's not deaf yet and been doing car audio for a looong time
@@FSXgta Steve probably has some but I bet he probably wouldn't notice until his hearing rolled off at 10k
What is the power rating on the 18's? I have six 18's and they take 800 watts RMS and 1600 watts peak each and they slam. Those look like older JBLs to me
Only 600w rms 1200 peak, there going to get replaced with car audio 15s that are 1800w rms 3000w peak as my amps are way to powerful for these subs
pro audio subs sound better than the car audio they have better quality. Car audio subs are only about the lowness and the loudness and the excursion
what is sounds like when I try to record music in my room
What is the third song?
Track list ?
If you're looking at getting new drivers for those subs, try the B&C 18SW115 drivers. They're the best 18 inch drivers on the market
I have 4 of these check my video on my Chanel 10 kw rms
yessss wow sub is good
listening on a 4 wat speaker ;-;

In Australia!
Fuck I live in America..... better get to packing my suitcases...
Doublsmm I thougt america
What did he said for the song at 4:00
why is this 3mm flex better than real subwoofers 4cm flex
Tinokap I have no fucking idea
The more cone area and less the cone moves, the less the distortion.

Do you use the ave subwoofers?
No I did not
