For me, "Swanwhite" represents one of Sibelius's more capricious scores in keeping with its fairytale subject matter. Some enigmatic delicacies : "The Harp" (3:00 - 6:21); "Listen, The Robin Sings" (9:06 - 14:01); "Swanwhite And The Prince" (18:08 - 21:40).
Devo confessare che non conoscevo quest'opera che mi è risultata bellissima come la stragrande musica di Sibelius . Poi il superlativo Jarni, come sempre, riesce a rendere ben chiara la profondità e lo spessore di ogni nota anche ad un primo ascolto. Complimenti.

The Harp is beautiful beyond words
He created so many theatre scores! Many with mythic/fae themes. The Finns are masters of folk tales. True appreciators of the Mythopoeic.
