4:01:05 - I know this wasn't the intent, but I like the idea of Vella reaching up on the shelf, grabbing a dictionary, and opening it up to read the definition condescendingly to Alex
I tried getting through yiik three years ago (never finished it, got stuck on a late game boss ) and man I forgot how WEIRD Alex is. I genuinely forgot how uncomfortable he is as a character
I tried to finish the game a few weeks ago, and I already know what boss you’re talking about. I was underleveled walking into the fight (at least I think I was), and I had to spend over an hour stunlocking the boss with sleep moves from Alex and [REDACTED] to keep him from instantly stunlocking and killing Alex.
I tried to play YIIK once, I just started out the game, played for a minute, and then my power went out. I never played it afterwards because the universe sent me a clear message
i was waiting for this vod ever since i saw the yiik overlay on holly's stream (i dont go on twitch, no bulli), finally getting around to check this out! I'm. Excited(?)
if people wanna play a game where the main character's a pos & has references to popular media, but it's written WAYYY more tactful & to-the-point-just play no more heroes also they talked about the main melody of yiik(2019) being ripped from something else, the main theme of NMH(2007 )sounds nearly identical, but i thing the composer(Masafumi Takada) ALSO got it from somewhere else, like another game he compsed for or something
@@Poondaedalin SERIOUSLY like. one of the major problems of this game is that they never shut the hell up, but then the Crow only gets like 1 scene of real dialogue. what the hell????
@@hollyfelis4197 Yeah, it sucks. The bird has the best voice actor in the game, and yet he's completely unvoiced in the opening sequence. Meanwhile, every bit of dialogue that Alex gets when talking to the player or the other characters is voiced, even his weird tangents about porn and elevators
socks was right, there are so so many words that end in -ine that are pronounced like that it's actually good english to pronounce it consistently smh my head
man, it kind of sucks how even the streamers i really like and respect followed all of the misinformation about this game they mentioned yiik in a more recent RTVS stream and talked about it more positively tho, so that makes me hope they changed their minds on it
