Tanya: CAPITALISM !! (Not)Stalin: Over my dead body! Tanya: Your terms are Acceptable! Tanya gifts the Empire the blueprint for full 21st century. Combined arms warfare and as a reward? Gets put in charge of it..... 😱
Tbf, that's probably the best reward and what makes most sense for the empire. Officers at her level now wouldn't, NORMALLY be directly involved in the fighting, also due to her current firepower it's both safer for her while also gives her more leway over the war in general which is ideal for her. For the empire is also the best option, she's clearly a strategic genius, as well as unbeatable in actual combat, she's also the one that proposed aside from numerous inovative changes, she proposed that one in particular, which means, she probably understands the best it's strengths at the very least, and where it's usage should be. Her new rank and position would make her have a slice of the battlefield of her own which is also great for both, she doesn't have to be constantly bothered by HQ and HQ can just leave at least an entire sector or even region to her without any worry, in essence based on history thus far. She can hardly get better conditions to her fight against the world and being X than now.
They gave Tanya a Kampfgruppe. Basically Batttle Group or Fighting Group. Germany used the concept a lot during WWII, just throw together an on the spot unit of various elements, give them some support vehicles, artillery, etc whatever was available at the time. Kampfgruppe you can argue is one of the reasons the Germans held out so long during WWII despite being in a very bad position since 1942. Enemy broke through the lines, forces are in shambles, some soldiers are now trapped behind enemy lines? They'd make a Kampfgruppe, of whatever was available, what remained of a shattered Panzer DIvision, some random infantry maybe even some anti aircraft crews, give them some support elements, artillery, anti tank guns/weapons etc etc etc, and send them to defend a key position, or attempt a counterattack. United States did something similar during the Battle of the Bulge, when they sent armor, airborne and artillery elements often battalion size to defend the city of Bastogne. Despite contrary belief it wasn't just the 101st Airbrone in Bastogne they had elements of armored and artillery supporting them, whatever was available that could be spared to aid the 101st was also allowed to get surrounded in the city. The allied Operation Market Garden was also destroyed as a result of Kampfgruppe as well. Basically random formations that didn't even exist just started appearing out of nowhere across the Dutch countryside. Mostly of elements of units that were retreating through Holland after Germany pulled out of France. Random officers just started gathering up soldiers/men and whole units just appeared out of nowhere, often named after the officer commanding them. Some German Paratroopers, a few Tanks, maybe some trucks and guns. Kampfgruppen absolutely foiled the allied operation. Now unlike this "anime" Kampfgruppe were not some planned organization, they were on the spot built formations made up of whatever was really available at the time.
I'll just throw this in here. In the Manga, during her trip to the US, Mary received three Miracle abilities from God based on the prayers of her family. As her father's prayer, her future has been blessed. Like an étoile in ballet, or a prima donna in opera, she will have an unbreakable will and a glittering destiny. As her mother's prayer, she is protected by the miracles. Swords will break before her, bullets will dodge her, fire won't reach her, and her wounds will heal. Nothing short of a miracle of the same scale can break it. As her prayer, she gains strong magical power and sufficient mana like her father, so that she can fight for the motherland with her father. Which is why she just wont die.
Well, that only happens in the manga universe. In the anime universe she only has one miracle, while in the novel universe she doesn't have any miracles, she is just very strong.
I'd argue that that was Tanya's biggest flex as of yet. Tanya do have some fights showcasing her op powers, but she just clowned a whole country with just her batallion lmao. That's just like Tanya's group T-bagging at her enemy's base broadcasted worldwide.
Still think it wasnt the best idea to give her more Soldiers^^ Her Mages trained 2 months under her Regime and turned into highly loyal War-Veterans. With her Knowledge, she will will probably turn the Salamander Battlegroup into Special forces that can invade a Country on their own. Improving the Artillerie and Tanks, training the Soldiers until they are Snipers and Commando Soldiers^^ Sooner or later, Strategic HQ has no choice but to promote her to General Tanya^^ There is a realistic Chance that she will run the Empire before she turns 20 xD (Not unlikely. Did some digging and it seems she is supposed to be 11 in this Movie. Looks like in the LN 2-3 more years pass after the Movie.)
they try to promote her to general, but it was a poisoned promotion and she dodged it; basically the high command decided the politicians were driving the country to ruin, so they were going to promote tanya into a position to kill off the royal family, and allow the military coup. Tonya realized instantly that it would paint her as the face of the coup, and the military would then exicute her while taking over. so she weezled her way out of it by pretending to be stupid, and dodging military command for a bit, until the "plans" changed... a bit.
her age is kinda weird she was born in 1913 but in the ln they say she 13 in 1927 where she supposed to be 14 and it was after her birthday her birthday is in october and it was in november 1927 that the light novel said she was 13 so its weird
SPOILERS also its highly unlikely she will be a general because of the sexism there was in that time period and because of her age in the light novel there are so many moments she gets ignored and she never got the rank in the light novel aswell its sad
@@dacup9454 2 Guys who ignored her got a surprise meeting with a Shell and she has the Reputation to be pretty murderous, when she is pissed off^^ Personally, i wouldnt insult her, not even with 10 meter thick Bunker-Walls between us xD
I love how Tanyas habits of working like she would in a Japanese corporation is ultimately what gets her sent everywhere she doesn't want go. She keeps assuming that the not-German Imperial army command structure would react the same way to her ideas that a Japanese corporation would and just praise her for offering them and then archive them somewhere because some of the higher ups are used to doing things the way they've always done them and would rather not have anything important change while they're still in their seats. They just can't let go of those fucking fax machines, because the older executives just can't figure out how to print a goddamn e-mail.
A lot of American business sectors require fax machines. As recently as 2012, I was working for a temporary job placement agency called Robert Half, Inc. which is a pretty huge national corporation, in order for me to turn in the timesheets my supervisor was signing off on and get paid, I literally had to fax the timesheets to RHI. Emails were not acceptable. Fortunately my dad had a fax machine at home that I could use so since I already visited him once a week, that little fax machine was what me getting paid depended on.
The teen Cessna comment for those of you who are young. On 28 May 1987, an 18-year-old West German man, with very little flight time, flew from Helsinki, Finland and landed near Moscow's Red Square by passing Soviet air defense at the height of the Cold War.
I always love Captain Unger trying so hard to get her to read his lips to lie about her unit condition and get some leave cause he already knew her orders were to deploy immediately if they were in good condition.
waching this movie again kinda shows it was prophetic to a point considering recent events. i mean the :russi" are fighting preety much the same way the russians do today in real life.
