U realise that was zanu pf running the city and things right? 1995 ..15 years after independence. Most of the new shiny buildings were built in those 15 years... Then mdc came in 1999 and called for sanctions in 2000 and started running harare city Council the rest is history....

I was an Australian volunteer in Mozambique 1994 - 1996: my first of 3 visits to Zimbabwe was in mid-1995. In total, spent 3 months in Zim over 3 visits. What a magnificent country. What a magnificent people. What I found most sensational was the pride that Zimbabweans had in their country - and the fact that it worked. What that piece of work Mugabe did to such a great country was criminal. I hope Zim comes back bigger and brighter than ever.
@David-Zita I was 3rd. In the U.S. I was surprised Africa has white people. Back then I didn't know much. Well I eventually learned later about British colonization
it's over crowded because that's where opportunities are found, If the govt of Zimbabwe had developed Zimbabwe as a whole, urban migration will not be a thing, blame it on the govt.

You start understanding why people are frustrated and tired. See how even the streets were not just well constructed but also clean
youre saying thus because you didnt suffer the racism we suffered in our own country
