My uncle visited Russia recently and when he told them that he was from India the amount of love that those people showed him cannot be explained in words.

I disagree. Russia is a failed state. Putin took the country backwards for his quest for power.
Don't forget America gave weapons, nuclear technology and even a security council seat to India which Nehru being an idiot rejected.
Don't worship Russia, they were just following a treaty signed by them. It was America who despite not being an ally of India (pak was the ally of USA coz India rejected America), came and supplied weapons during 1962 indo China war.
Before that Kennedy even offered to give nuclear tech and security council saying that the world's largest democracy should be having a seat and nuclear weapons than the communist China.
It was Russia who back stabbed us telling Nehru to support China for the security council seat and telling india they would support India later which never came.

He was a hero in most wars he fought, and as a matter of fact, he was a witness when 93K Pakistani soldiers surrendered their arms. RIP Grandfather. I really miss you. :(
