This whole scene is exactly why PRUE was and will always be my favorite So strong! It showed here. The part where her astral projection power was used to destroy that demon. I love that this episode is in season 3 and is the same season we lost her in 😭😭😭 she kicked ass in this episode.

I love Prue but let's be honest if she never died Piper would've never became bad ass because she use to worry a lot when Prue was around. She basically became the new Prue.
Not only did Piper become the new Prue... But she also didn't like the youngest careless sister from the start (Paige... Similar to what Prue had with Phoebe when the show started)... And Phoebe was serving as a bumper between the two of them (like Piper did between Prue and Phoebe)
Yeah, she was the only reason why I continued to watch the show. She took on that big sister role so good, while still paying respect to Prue . The writers did a good job with that part.
I think Piper would still get her explosive power, and Prue's telekinesis has an explosive effect too, you can see that when she becomes an empath, and when she's 10 years in the future, she literally blew the entire attic effortlesly, meanwhile Piper after 8 years of becoming a witch, her explosive power didn't have that much AoE like Future Prue's. Also Prue stated that her powers in the future would be as strong as when she was an empath. And if we take in count the Astral Projection then Prue is twice as powerful, besides astral Prue can't be hurt. Prue was the strongest easily. Piper did a great job becoming the Big Sister too although she kinda forgot to use her Freeze power. Phoebe was just a mess, she never controled flying, nor her premonitions, she also lost both power. Her being an empath was cool,but she was never as powerful as Empath Prue, and in CQC, Prue simply outclassed Phoebe. Paige is half witch half whitelighter, meaning she's not as strong as a 100% with, like Prue, Piper or Phoebe. Her telekiesis is a weak version of Prue's, seh ahs to actually shout the name of the object she wants to move, Prue doesn't even need to look at the object she wants to move. I enjoyed the show more when Prue was alive. If Prue hadn't died, Piper and Phoebe would listen to her more than they listened Paige, for example Prue telling them Cole is the New Source etc. In fact, Prue should be able to solo the source, she literally created the spell to destroy Balthazor, and those crystals, which she can move with Telekinesis faster than Paige did, and she can deflect Fireballs and energy balls easier than Paige, that's how they defeated the source IIRC. Piper did nothing couse she was injured.

I love how Leo and Thomas both hide behind Prue. It's because they know she's the only thing standing between the demon and Thomas. They have to rely on her, hoping she'll win. And she did. Meanwhile, Piper's face at Prue and her kicking ass is priceless. This is probably where she started getting the name Wicca wonder and all that.
The only reason piper got the exploding power was because they knew piper was gonna become the eldest witch so they had to bring her a good power. This show was amazing I especially love seasons 1-3. The rest wasn't as good, when a demon came, piper would just blow it up or page would just orb somewhere

Piper's explosive power never had big AoE, it only wored on 1 target at the same time, while Prue's explosive telekinesis has a huge AoE in comparison.

Second according to Prue (as told in the comics) the Ultimate power wasn't suppose to be even a match for the Power of Three. But because Prue died before her time things got messed up. The Strength of the Warren line and more specifically the Halliwell sisters lies in the Power of Three, not in their individual powers, but it also has to do with how old they are. Because the older they get the more powerful they become. So when Prue, the oldest and as such the strongest of the Halliwell sister, died but couldn't move on (meaning the connection was still there) the Power of Three became weakened even with Paige (because they were effectively 4 sister with 2 sharing the same power which is what weakened them). So this kind of implies that even individually they never hit their peak. They might have though if Prue never died... But even then I am also pretty sure the strongest witch (solo individual) is actually Wyatt (even after his prophecy got undone as he kept his power) but the Power of Three trumps his power. So in a 1 vs 1 Prue would most likely lose against Wyatt.

Shannen choose to leave due to conflicts with Alyssa (they have made up since) It was Alyssa's jealously of Shannen. Not being first in the credits, not being the first choice for the part of Pheobe, she also wanted Shannen's wardrobe.
I actually heard that the majority of the crew and especially Constance M Berge who created the series and left after season 4, supported Shannen and felt that Alyssa was the diva, when SD quit Holly Marie Combs also wanted to quit because she felt the show would go downhill, she only stayed because they made her producer but even HMC felt that her character of Piper had become boring in the final years of the show, personally I would’ve axed Alyssa Milano and just recast the role of Phoebe with another actress
