I think it's mostly because she was realized that Callum needed time so it was her way of saying what she wanted to say without distressing Callum further

I think if Rayla said that to Callum when he woke up, she'd be confessing the mistake to him, and maybe that's all he wanted! The way Rayla said Callum is the most important thing in her life, well... I don't think he has that heart of stone to resist! But, she respected him a lot, to the point of asking to sit next to him and not talk about something, (she saw that he didn't want to talk or listen).

Maybe because she thought she didn’t need to because she thought Callum was waiting for her
It's realistic. Subconsciously she knows he may yell at her when she apologizes and she wants to avoid conflict.
I hadn't noticed that, it's interesting… Maybe Rayla only felt the weight of it once after Callum started "rejecting" her on their first date. Before, Rayla might have thought that Callum would hug and kiss her, I don't know... I think everyone can see it in a different way!

I noticed it right away, and also she seemed more quilty towards ezran than callum..
I’m happy they didn’t instantly make up, this is going to take time because callum was left with a hole in his heart. You can’t just come back after two years and think everything is going to go back to the way it was. They are doing the right thing by taking it slow and making that bond strong again.
I agree! I believe that these difficulties in the feelings they are facing will only strengthen their relationship! After all they will have to repent of mistakes and forgive. Where forgiveness happens, love prevails!
I liked the way they made their relationship this season. Rayla left for two years only leaving a note for Callum, I get why he was distant towards her in the beginning. But I like the way they warm up to each other as time goes on, also we get to see that they still love each other. Rayla is more transparent about it though
She is the one looking for forgiveness, i think it is normal? Just guessing
Although I had been hoping to see more Rayllum in Season 4 since 2020, and it wasn't in a romantic way, I loved it! I believe that these difficulties of feelings they are experiencing will only serve to create a stronger relationship! When there is forgiveness, love prevails!
You know at 4:49 the way Rayla reacted to Callum’s request compared to Claudia and how she responded to her dad, as childlike as she did that, Rayla did it in a healthy way. This shows proof of how her love makes her a better person for Callum. It looks like it still needs time, but I am a Rallum fan; I hope their love will grow again.

Rayllum's love is just a matter of time! Rayla and Callum love each other very much, this season made it clear that it's not just a passing crush, but a true love! I'm also a big fan of Rayllum is the best couple of all the shows 🥰

@@LucasRamosTDP Exactly!! Though, even in season 3 it was clear it wasn’t a passing crush when he literally JUMPED OFF A CLIFF FOR HER and didn’t even know if the spell would work. Then he also still loves and cares for her after 2 years of her leaving him. I love them sm😭🫶🏼

You know Callum, if you need a friend capable to kill you in case of evil possession, Rayla is not the best option. Aaravos may be a jerk but wasn't wrong about her.

Yeah, I don't think Callum remembers exacly what he said or did under Aaravos possession.
After Callum witnessing Rayla tackle Viren off the Spire to her own presumed death even, seems he knows who could kill no matter the cost to herself.
I like how Rayla and Callum are making up slowly rather than them rushing into romance again. It's more realistic considering all they've been through.
Give it some time and I bet we'll see them have a big kiss and I love you's after two years apart. Maybe Callum will even propose marriage to Rayla or even give her a promise ring so when they're both old enough and ready they *will* marry.
Truth! After all that happened, the slow path was a good choice for the creators.
It would be great if that happened! Gotta have Rayllum's wedding by the end of TDP (even if it's in the last ep in the last scene)
I thought at first that this relationship was just so that they could have a relationship to end the third season, but they've impressed me with the wholesomeness and communication these two have.
Rayllum even though they weren't created to be together, I say they were born for each other! It's a very special couple!

The biggest mistake was acting like nothing happened to Callum. Should have said she was so sorry and she missed him so much. She didn’t find anything and wished she could get the time back.

Truth! She says something very beautiful (for me one of the most beautiful statements in TDP) while Callum was sleeping... Maybe because she wasn't ready (confident) or because she respected Callum's wish not to want to talk. But really Rayla should have acted differently and shown the size of her love for him.
Now I'm increasingly believing that there can be a fight between Rayla against Callum possessed by Aaravos and at that moment she apologizes and tells him how much she loves! Thus would break the right that Aaravos has to possess Callum! It would be nice if something similar happened.

All of the Rayllum Shippers Who Waits For Cute Moments : Umm Yeah Soren This Has Happened Before. Because before everyone had to get together to have the final talk about the battle against Viren. Callum was gonna tell Rayla that if today was their last day he wanted her to know that he loved her. But Soren you interrupted and Rayla was gonna die without Callum telling her how he felt. But he saved her and he said the reason why he was able to grow his wings was because he loved her. And this proves that love you have for someone can save a life if your serious about a person.
[Oh and one more thing I want to have one Rayllum moment where they talk about their feelings without being interrupted by Soren. Because if Callum tries to ask Rayla to marry him in the future. And Soren interrupts in any kind of way I'm gonna freak out.]

@@LucasRamosTDP And to be honest when Callum does propose to Rayla I hope he asks her in a special way. Like you know when Janai asked Amaya to marry her. Janai learned sign language to ask Amaya. Because Janai asking Amaya with sign language is special because it was a question between the two of them. So now that Rayla is back in season 4 and she didn't leave in the last episode this time. I'm hoping that her and Callum work on their relationship and once they spent a lot of time together and dated for a while. He will ask her to marry him.

@Taylor Carnes No doubt! Callum proposing has to be very special! Something that represents the best couple of all shows! It's true, the way Janai did it was special, because she mixes her culture (amaya thinking she was being ambushed LOL) with the characteristic of amaya. I think Callum could combine human culture with that of the moon elf to make a proposal (the ceremony can also be like this) marriage. It would bring more humans and elves together, and it will strengthen King Ezran's plan! In other words, just joy 🥰

I kinda want to see a romance between Ezran and the child queen, I dunno but I feel they complement each other really well, they're both wise beyond their years, have shown good leadership skills but the girl seems more logical and methodical while Ezran is more idealist and trusting, would love to see them bounce each other.

@@LucasRamosTDP She's pragmatic, witty, snarky and wise beyond her years. She clearly cares for the lives of her people. She's an excellent archer too.
She's more a leader who rules with her head, while Ezran rules with his heart. She'd probably admire Ezran's good heart and his willingness to see good in everyone, but may also find him naive and too eager to trust. She's probably more closed off with trusting others because of the many assassination attempts made on her life.
I do think they'd bring out the best in each other as Aanya could teach Ezran to be more cautious and wise with who he trusts with political decisions, while Ezran could bring out the more playful and friendly side to Aanya socially and help her to enjoy the normal things that children their age (Aanya is one year older than Ezran) do.
Whether they remain political allies, become friends and/or eventually fall in love, I personally hope we she these two cuties interacting in future seasons.

In Legend of Korra, Korra hasn't seen Asami in three years which is better than two years.
It's gut-wrenching, hurtful, heartbreaking, and emotionally compelling.
Rayla can't just disappear for two years and come back empty-handed and thinking her boyfriend would let them have a chat after not having contact.
Cuz in life a lot can happen in two years. And people changed around that time. And they're not the same anymore.
Yeah, I'm a huge Rayllum fan. And they have a lot to figure out in the future seasons.
It won't be easy, but it will be hard and worth it.
Now that she has those coins it brings a sense of closure to the table. I hope she doesn't withhold that information from him or anyone.
It's better they do it as a team. That's what makes them an army.
Not a solo Moonshadow elf disappeared for years hunting Viren who might be alive and protecting Callum.
What was Rayla doing for two years while chasing down leads to Viren?
I hope they'll highlight this in the future because in order for Rayllum to move forward; Rayla needs to tell Callum everything.
I hope this ends her vendetta against Viren and Claudia now that she has the coins she can bring her family back.
She can finally heal and hopefully trust. Breakdown her walls and just open to everything. And grow.

Whatever you do, don’t model how to act in a relationship on Rayla. She had no reason to not apologize to Callum! You can’t just abandon someone for 2 years and pretend like everything’s okay with them.
I think she really wanted to apologize to him, but was too nervous about it or didn't know what to say. She did mention she was nervous. I think she wil find a way to apologize to him down the road.

From the way S4 ended, my guess is that they be together in s5, tho they never actually broke up, but hopefully u know what I mean. But I'm curious, if they have kids, would it be half elf, half human. Or a kid that's either an elf or human, but has half human and half elf blood
Yea! I understood. They were far away, but they always belonged together! I think the kids would be a ''mixture'', maybe two kids! Thus, one is more human (with some elven features) and the other is more elven (with human features). Just, like one has horns and has 5 toes, another has 4 toes and has no horns! One with power and connection to the moon or both! Anyway, many possibilities XD
People may criticize season 4, but I liked it. But why this season only had 9 episodes?
I really loved this season too! I believe they are not very critical, it's because as it took a long time people may have created many theories lol it only had 9 episodes because all seasons are 9 episodes. At least I believe that, because there are 7 books and each one with 9.
I get it, they broke up in a graphic novel, but it is quite a jarring creative decision for anyone who didn't know about it and is like, "After 3 years, baby, more Dragon Prince...wait, What?!" It feels like they wanted a time skip, but none of the work to do it or make it interesting. Not to say this show didn't already have this issue, but it's just far more noticeable now, considering where we left off with season 3. Trust me, this is adorable, but it wasn't necessary; Rayla could've left, the two still be together, and Callum would crush on her just as hard now as he always has; that's just who Callum is as a character.
''kenobi master'' Perhaps the idea of the creators was ''to return'' with the friendship relationship... I mean, as it would be the first season that they were already dating, there would be a lot of romance (which for me would not be a problem) and the creators wanted to focus on the history of TDP and that's why they wanted to temporarily break it, so that they could gradually go back to being Rayllum. This is actually a step backwards, they could focus on the adventure with romance without ''ending'' with the couple. But, I don't see it as a problem in the show that takes away the wonderful quality of TDP! These were the creators' choices (I respect), doesn't mean I agree, but I loved season 4 and I'm waiting for 5!

I just watched this series and LOVED it. I'll be honest; I had nothing to do, I was bored and I just wanted to watch a magic/romance series that would entertain me for 1 or 2 hours...

I lowkey want to know where rayla was for 2 years if she discovered the thing about the coins now this season. I thought that was gonna be the explanation and why she kept searching but then so she just went to look for viren didn’t find him after she thought he fell to his death and then what ? Too many questions! This disappearance of Rayla is connected to the right book? I confess I haven't read it yet. She put revenge above all else, that was her motive and as always revenge doesn't pay! She confesses this to Callum (while he sleeps).

Hearing a Scottish person say "Dummy" and not "Dumbass" is the weirdest thing
I remember when the trailer for the 4th season was coming out, and the number one theory that everyone had was that the person that we see near the end of the trailer was NOT Rayla at all, and it was all a trick, because of the Moon Rune. Am I the only person who was following everything in that trailer??? As we Dragon Prince historians know, the Key of Aaravos shows each symbol of every natural Primal Source, and when something that has that inside of them is close to it, a rune corresponding with that Primal Source, will glow. Rayla is a Moonshadow elf, so the Moon rune will glow, the little creature that she met, Stella is a creature of the stars or sky, but very likely the stars, which is why the Star rune was glowing. I would imagine that creatures of the stars are able to control or manipulate the elements of the universe around him, like Aaravos, or The Collector, Stella can create portals or voids within dimensions. That just makes sense to me. My instinct was telling me the entire time while I was waiting for the new season to come out, that the person we saw with Callum near the end of the trailer IS Rayla, there is NO trick or anything suspicious about her whatsoever, and guess what? I WAS RIGHT THE WHOLE TIME!!! Ha! My instinct is NEVER wrong!

Yes this comment is posted in anger, but it comes from passion for this series. I do really like these characters and I want to see them get along. But this season...really sucked for me. It didn't feel like real progress for the heroes. And it felt that they spent all their time writing for the villains and Ezran. Callum and Rayla could have been something to explore. But this is NOT the way to go about it. Because you didn't know what to do with the main couple. Because if "conflict is good" then lets put conflict everywhere!

Not gonna lie, this season rayllum was kinda stale, I was on the edge of my seat waiting for a deep confrontation that never came 😭 They better payoff next season and it better not be another 3 years! 😤
Hey I agree so much I want more Rayllum I’m literally gonna die I need them, but they said season 5 will come out way way earlier maybe even the summer of 2023, so we don’t have to wait very long!
Oh and also I think they did a good job at slowly getting Rayla and Callum so they can grow even stronger when they eventually get back together
Honestly I didn’t mind it. In real life you can’t just pick up and leave whenever you want. Especially since they both lost people and now more than ever they could have been together to deal with their loss, instead Callum was stuck having to deal with abandonment and also putting on a brave face for his kingdom to have it flourish so yea Rayla really fucked up and I would be mad if they just made all of that be erased after 2 years of not knowing if she was alive.

¿Por qué hicieron que Callum se portara frío con Rayla al principio y un poco menos con forme avanza la trama? Largo tiempo de no verse y ni una vez se besaron de nuevo, en lo que a su relación respecta, fue mejor en la temp 3 que recién comenzarón.
Lo dejó durante dos años con solo un nota. Él está frío con ella porque estaba enfadado. Poco a poco se acercan otra vez. Besarse ahora sería poco realista debido a que antes tienen que enmendar su relación y hablar las cosas.
Desde mi punto de vista, Callum cuando vio a Rayla por primera vez sintió una explosión de sentimientos (nótese que sus ojos estaban en lágrimas), ¡ni siquiera sabía que Rayla estaba viva! Pero aquí viene el dolor y los malos sentimientos por haberlo abandonado. Lo correcto sería que Callum hubiera perdonado en ese momento y dejado en claro cuánto lo lastimó, ¡pero hablar es fácil! A medida que pasan los episodios, Callum comienza a soltar el perdón y su amor por ella vuelve a ser el número uno. ¡Él nunca dejó de amarla, como ella nunca dejó de amarlo! ¡Creo que esta situación solo fortalecerá su relación! después de todo, donde hay perdón, ¡el amor prevalece!
